Possibly, and one would certainly have to hope so. You can only test out the theory now by setting the timer to 00 which should allow the TV to remain ON until turned off. Most settings are 00 30 60 90. So if you can recall the period you were able to view that should guide you in diagnosing.

Thanks for using FIXYA

Hi,

Usually, if your forgot to Reset the Timer, you would get Flashing LED's.As you got the Screen, i doubt this could be a Component Failure.

So, simply keep the Unit unplugged for few minutes, say 30 minutes and then try to Reset the Timer. It has to be done within 10 minutes of Powering ON the TV.

Let me know the progress, so that we could proceed.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

    If you can solder resolder the power supply board also they are well known for poor solder connections.

My Panasonic multimedia projection tv -PT-61LCX65 needs a new lamp....where is the bulb located within the tv? How do I remove?

Hello, the lamp is located at the rear of the set. Unplug the tv before you start. There is a door secured by a screw, remove it to expose the lamp housing. There is a screw that secures the lamp, remove it, then you can gently grasp the handle and slowly pull it towards the rear of the set. To replace the lamp, gently slide the new lamp back in and secure it with the screw you pulled out. replace the lamp door cover, and replace the screw. plug the tv back in and turn it on, you should be fixed. Here's a link to a video on how to do it....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvF36pepCOI.....tks

Good Day,christie511;
It sounds like the lamp is in need of replacement. You could call a service company to replace the lamp, but it is so easy to replace the lamp ones self. So, call Panasonic and order the lamp, they will send to your home with instructions.
