Question about Garmin GPS
I'm trying to install some maps in Garmin mobilepc on my computer using garmin mapinstall and at the end of the process I get this error message
There was a problem communicating with the garmin device
the filename directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect
Is this a problem with the software or something within windows?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

try reformatting the device using the software you use with it. This should fix any naming errors. you will need to put all the songs back though

SOURCE: How do I unlock the Canada maps?
I had same problem, purchase Sd card, because internal memory too low for all Canada and Usa. search thepiratesbay.org for unlocker program. It works like a charm. Ps i dont know the legality of using unlocker so you may want to consult Garmin.
