Question about Whirlpool Kitchen Ranges
If it is a gas oven then the problem is most likely a bad igniter (the glowing light you see before the oven burner comes on) Even if its glowing it couold still be weak. 49/50 gas ovens that are no bake will be a broken or weak igniter. They usually cost between 60-80 bucks depending on the model.
If it is an electric oven you could check your heating element. BE SURE TO UNPLUG UNIT BEFORE REMOVING COMPONENTS. It can usually be removed by two screws in the back cabinet of the oven. You will then need to unhook the wires connecting to the bake element. You can bring it into your local appliance parts dealer and have them test it or just check it for continuity. If it checks ok then your problem is going to be with your controls or a thermostat issue which would probably require a technician to diagnose.
The next time you have a problem if you could post your make and model number it would make it easier to give you more model specific advise.
Hope this helps _MJ_
