Just got an antenna to pick up local HDTV channels. I scan the channels and none are found. does it matter if I connect to "Ant1" or "Ant2"? neither seem to work. Thanks.

According to the user's manual on page 16, press Menu and open the Setup menu. Highlight Installation and press Enter. Open the Terrestrial menu and highlight Input Configuration. Select the ANT1 or ANT2 (whichever the antenna is connected to) and select input source Antenna [not cable]. Highlight Done and press enter. Now rescan your channels. If you still get nothing, try relocating your antenna to a better place. Digital TV is highly dependent on line of site signals. So if you are in a mountainous region or surrounded by a lot of high rise buildings, you may not receive a good enough signal to register channels on your TV.

I just purchased an indoor antenna for to view local stations. Can i use an indoor antenna for my olevia 232-t11 lcd-hdtv? If I can, what steps do I need to follow?

Yes you can use an indoor antenna. Just make sure it is an HD antenna to get the digital channels clearly. You will have to do a scan to pick up local channels. In the TV menu, it will ask you if you want to scan for "cable" channels or "antenna" channels. You want to choose antenna.

Can't get digital channels on 37

Bob,

Are you certain you've connectet the antenna coaxial cable correctly?

There's 2 of them on this TV, one for digital and one for analog/cable connections, make sure you're connected to the correct input for digital TV.

If you're certain you've got it connected correctly then your problem is going to most likely be in the TV tuner board inside the TV.

Good Luck!

Hi! I posted a few days ago about my elderly neighbors TV being disconnected from Dish and now she gets no signal on all channels. She has a TruTech Model (from back of TV) 008-09-0119. I disconnected the...

What kind of antenna is she using? If she is using an Over The Air antenna that was supplied by Dish it would be best to buy another type of antenna.
Please post back with her antenna type and the zip code you live in so I can help you further.

How to set up cable input on television...searching for channels

the wd52525 has 2 antenna inputs. put the cable in the bottom one first (ant1) press menu, then scroll over to antenna, the scroll to ant1 and hit enter. if none are found repeat using ant2. if none are still found then the chassis is bad or you have no signal. try the cable on another set if it works then visit www.tv-tech.com

DTV connection

Have you tried http://www.antennaweb.org/aw/Address.aspx? This will show you the location of the HD broadcast towers for your local stations and my recommendation would be to use an outdoor antenna if you can. Picking up the reception is definitely about pointing the antenna in the direction of the towers.

Setting up ant1 or ant2

Try pushing the source button on the remote until it goes to ANT 1 or ANT 2, then that part of the menu will not be grayed out. (Sidenote) If you take a pair of rabbit ears and attach them to the antenna input that says air, you can receive high definition local channels. Autoprogram the set at night, that is when most channels that send that signal, usually, show it at night. If it continues, reply to this post and I'll respond.
