The laptop says no audio output device is installed

We bought a laptop computer from best buy about a year ago for my husband to have out on the road. right after we bought it the sound went off of it. we took it up to best buy and they did repair it without any problems. now here it is a year from buying it and the sound has gone out of it once again. the laptop is an aspire 5515 and we are really enjoying the laptop but we wish this problem would quit happening. it keeps saying that not audio output device is installed

You probably just need to reinstall you audio drivers. OR do a system restore to a time when the drivers/sound DID work.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I bought a logitect with 5 small speakers but i have 3 imput but my computer has only one. how do i connect

Unless *********** board was bought years and years and years, and even years ago, you should by default have at least three jacks. Headphones, or sound out; micorphone, and a line input or second out put. You can adjust your settings in the control panel under audio devices to have a least two (2) outputs, in which case you want to connect the green and black. You should have instructions that came with the system to show you guidelines for setting up the speakers, but you can then use your matrix feature to mimmick surround sound!

How do you install an audio output device to a laptop computer?

It depends if internally your motherboard has everthing attached. alot of times for the newer laptops they solder everthing to the board. Power, board and audio. But it really takes you opening it up and seeing if it is detachable and if you even can install a output device to a laptop.

My recommendation being a tech and a musician. Go buy protools pack that comes with a audio output device that is usb connected. You can find this at Guitar Center or any musician store. Its designed for this type of question.

Hope that helps

Hi, i have a dell inspiron 1420 laptop. i bought is 1 and half years ago. everything is going fine until i have the windows vista os on it but when i installed windows 7 some problems have...

First, the audio problem is related to your drivers, i would go to realtek and download realtek hd audio manager
and realtek ac97 audio drivers. Second, the power supply is what is causing the error, if you take the power supply in to best buy, they will replace it, sometuimes even for free, as this happens alot.

When I try to play music I here no soud because i have no audio output device installed,How do I install audio output device on compter(Microsoft Vista Xp)for free?

What type of computer is this?
If you are building this unit yourself, and your motherboard does not come with audio. Then you must purchase a Sound card. I think Soundblaster is a good choice...Try clicking on sys information and see if you system has Audio. if so then check and make sure you have plugged your speakers in too the right output port, look at the back of the computer its usually the green jack.

Thank you

You may have to update or install a new device driver Most drivers I get are from a Web site driverguide.com You may have to register but this is free type in your sound card if known and select your OS download the driver and install You may have to reboot the computer once done

Another "No Audio output device is installed"

Actually the problem that you have is the power management. Go into Control panel then the power settings. Make sure to turn off system standby. The reason that it is not installed after it comes from sleep is that it is not reenabling. THe computer turns off the component during sleep.
