When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:----- It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.--------- It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.----
There's no cold water---- Some washing machines allow cold water to enter only during certain cycles. Others intermittently allow hot and cold to enter, to temper the temperature of the water. Consult your owner's manual if you are unsure about whether the machine is acting abnormally.--- If you're sure the machine is not working the way it used to--or should--check the following.---- Is the cold water turned on? If not, turn it on.---- Is the washer getting hot water but no cold water? If so, check to see if the control panel settings are correct.---- Is there cold water coming through the proper hose? If not, check to see if the screen inside the water-inlet valve is clean. (The water-inlet valve is the device on the washing machine that the fill hoses are attached to.) If it's clean, you probably have a defective water-inlet valve. If so, you need to replace the valve.----
This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

I have a front loader washer Kenmore Elite Model #796.40311900 that spins SLOW, not FAST as it should on spin. The digital readout works normally.

sounds like maybe drain filter is plugged and unit is not draining fast enough. if you have drain access in front pull it out and clean it.

Washer stops cycleing

First are you sure the error code is 'LE' and not 'tE' which looks very similar. The LE is usually the motor position sensor. Common on older washers. Easy fix. Under $20 part. The tE error is usually the thermistor. Inexpensive part about $6, but can be more complicated to get to. Ad a comment to your question and my answer with error code and I'll reply with more info if needed.

Kenmore 80 series top load washer. In the permanent press mode the machine will stop when it moves to the rinse mode. I can manually move the time past the midpoint of the cycle it will run for a minute...

So it will spin and drain when put in the spin cycle right? More than likely it is your timer if you have to keep manually setting. I would check on timer prices and go from there.

After washer runs for a few minutes it stops and runs agains, stops and runs again with stop and start intervals getting shorter and never finishes cycle. Seems it's unable to spin continuously.

there are usualy sensors for the spin so that the drum is balanced properly if one of the sensors is faulty it will not spin or if the wate is not draining aswell so check the owners manual to see if there are any tests for he sensors that can be run to give you a code for the fault

Kenmore HE2 won't finish spin cycle

you have blockage in you drain plug. to solve this problem you'll have to remove the lower front panel of your machine by removing the 3 (1/4") screws on the vary bottom of the machine. once the panel is removed you'll see a 1 1/2" white PVC drainage plug. turn the inner plug to the left in till open. (WARNING ALL THE WATER IN THE DRUM WILL DRAIN THOUGH THIS PLUG) remove debris likes socks or everything that's there replace the panel and your all set.
