Can i connect belkin to belkin through dsl modem and how

Yes, you can connect:

DSL modem WAN/Internet port on Belkin #1

LAN/network port on Belkin #1 WAN/Internet port on Belkin #2

LAN/network port on Belkin #2 your computer

If the two Belkins are in different rooms, and there are more than one computer in the room with Belkin #2, it makes sense to run ONE (not MANY) Ethernet cables from Belkin #1 to Belkin #2.

I don't have my security key for my belkins router?

In order to rest your password or if you forgot it you need to reset the router.

  1. Locate the reset hole on the router. The button will be on the back or side of the router.
    See images below:

routerreset1.gifrouterreset2.gif

  1. Leave the router powered on.
  2. Use a paperclip (or similar) to press and hold in the reset button for 10 seconds.
  3. Remove the paperclip.
  4. Wait approximately one minute for the router to restart.

Restoring the router to default using the web interface

Symptoms

You need to restore the factory defaults using the web interface. This may be because the router is not performing as expected or you wish to remove all previously configured settings.

Setup steps:

  1. Connect the computer to one of the four LAN ports on the router.
  2. Open a web browser on the computer.
  3. In the address bar of the web browser, type http://192.168.2.1
  4. Click Login in the upper right-hand corner of the page. The router does not ship with a password, so just click Submit.

  1. Click on "Restore Factory Defaults" in the left-hand column under the Utilities heading.

  2. Click on the "Restore Defaults" button.

  3. A warning box will open that says, "Warning all your settings will be lost, are you sure you want to do this?" Click OK.

  4. The router will begin the restoring process. Once the restore is complete, the router will reboot.

Note: This may take several minutes.
Your router has successfully been restored to its factory settings.

Cant remember wireless password

there 2 things you can do besides trying to remember what key was used

1.go into your router's configuration page and check under wirelesssecurity, if the password is not hidden you may still be able to see itand use it to connect to your router and go online with it

2. ifyou can't access your router's configuration page, you may have toreset your router to factory defaults which will allow you to accessyour router's configuration page and then re-set security andpassword/key/passcode that you will notated or that you will remember

your manual should guide your through the process for 1 or 2.
here's the page to access your manual, (first find out what version of the unit is the one you have, (check at the bottom of your router to find out) and go to the documentation section. once you are looking at the manual go into the wireless security section and troubleshooting

fyi:

You can erase the current configuration and
restore factory defaults in two ways:
• Use the Erase function of the router (see “Erasing the Configuration” on page 6-7 of your manual (link is found above)
• Use the restore factory settings button on the rear panel of the router. Use this method for cases
when the administration password or IP address is not known.
To restore the factory default configuration settings when you do not know the administration
password or IP address, you must use the restore settings button on the rear panel of the router.
1. Press and hold the restore settings button for 10 seconds.
2. Release the restore settings button, and wait for the router to reboot.

for more info refer to your manual and post back if you have further questions.

good luck!

hope that helps.

Cannot remember what my password is for my wireless router. I want to use a laptop from it. Any ideas?

There are two possible solutions, depending on which password you can't remember. If you remember the password to log into the router, you can go to the wireless security page and see the wireless password (you may have to uncheck the "obscure password" box to see it). If the password you can't remember is the one needed to log into the router, I believe your only recourse is to hold the reset button for at least 10 seconds to restore the factory defaults. NOTE: you will then have to re-configure the router as if you had just taken it out of the box.

Need to obtain my security code fordell router

There is a button to restore factory. You need to press this with a paper clip or something of that ilk.

Once you've restored it to factory defaults, you need to logon on:
User Name = admin
Password = admin

Both small case.

When you say "security code" I don't know if you mean password or network key. Either way, if you forgot it, you need to reset it.

Also, the default address to access the configuration pages is: http://my.router or http://192.168.2.1

Good Luck!
