This is short false-alert of the time gap during start-up, and it happens on Intel based boards. Just take care of fan controls in BIOS, and try to locate missplaced fan connectors viewing the board layout. I know the lunatic who plugged a processor fan into system fan connector, and everything works fine, but monitoring is too bad, got it?

One continues beeb!

Take everything off of it that you can. No cables for keboard, mouse or monitor and try it. If it beeps then there is an issue with the internal components. If it works put the monitor on and see, then the keyboard, then the mouse and you can figure out what the issue is that way. If it still beeps then you are going to have to take the covers off and take out the RAM chips and the cards and any connections to the drives. Then try and see and put things back one at a time till you figure out what is causing the problem.

My laptop is not turning to on

Seems to be problem in the Ram.
Step 1: Open the back cover where the RAM is located and take out the Ram and clean it with a soft brush and insert it back.(be careful while inserting the Ram coz you might damage it. insert it at an angle of 45 degree.

Step 2: If that didnt work then take out the Ram again and listen if there is and beeb sound. if there is the problem will be with the Ram Try changing a different Ram.
Step 3: If step 2 dosnt show and beeb sound then its obvious that its broblem with the motherboard(northbridge) or the display system.
Try Consulting a pro.

When switched on, my packard bell imedia 1508/2 sounds long beebs and dosen't send any sign on the screen.no message shown.

Your RAM is not working properly. Remove your RAM from your RAM slot brush it with a dry brush and reattach in your RAM slot, if not then your RAM slot is damaged.

You say that you pressed all the fx keys and delete key. Were you trying to get into the BIOS setup? If the keyboard is frozen no amopunt of key combinations will work. You might have to reset the BIOS to default settings. That means connecting a couple of pins together for a short time on the motherboard. You may need the manual if you don't already know what pins. Just make sure the power is completely of and the mains cord is pulled out.
It can vary the amount of time required to reset but if the corrupted BIOS was not caused by an overclocking it should be instant.
Once it is reset put the pins connector back the way it was. You may then want to go into BIOS setup, to set things up again to your preferences or needs. Again depending on your knowledge have the manual with you.

Please help

Hi,
The reason you are getting the beeps is because your computer has found Hardware problems. Different amounts and length of beeps mean different things. Laptops are different from Desktops so i cant tell you what it is but its most likely to be the RAM since you tried to change it.

When changing RAM: Not all ram is the same
1. Locate the original Ram. Does it Say DDR1 or DDR2. Make sure you get the same!
2. The Speed of the ram

PC66=66MHz SD Ram
PC133=133MHz SD Ram
PC1600=200MHZ DDR2
PC2100=266MHz DDR2
PC2700=333MHZ DDR2
PC3200=400MHz DDR2
PC3500=533MHz DDR2
PC5300=667Mhz DDR2
PC6400=800MHz DDR2
PC8500=1066MHz DDR2

Make sure both ram have the same specs and try to make it the same as the original stick.
When changing Hardware, be careful of Electro Static Discharge. Touch something metal like your computer case or a aluminum kitchen sink. Then static stored in your body may destroy the ram or your Laptop.
