Still getting Print Cartridge Error after installing new HP cartr

please check the position of the catridges installed. it should be in a correct position. or you might have replaced the catridges in a wrong slot. if it does not work out then either connect your printer to different computer for printing or uninstall the software from your computer, then again reinstall the software.

  2. After the carriage stops moving, push down on the top of the print cartridge to release it, and then pull it toward you out of the slot. Figure 2: Removing the print cartridge c00034767.jpg NOTE: It is normal to see ink buildup in the print cartridge slots.
  3. Remove the new print cartridge from the packaging and gently remove the plastic tape by using the pink pull tab. CAUTION: Do not touch the copper contacts or ink nozzles. 4. Push the new print cartridge into the appropriate slot at a slight angle, until it clicks into place. CAUTION: Do not attempt to push the cartridge straight into the slot. It must slide in at a slight angle. Figure 4: Inserting the print cartridge c00034769.jpg
  5. Close the print-carriage access door.
Aligning the print cartridges The HP Officejet will prompt you to align the print cartridges every time you install a new print cartridge to assure high-quality output.
  1. When the message displays, press OK . The HP Officejet will print an alignment page.
  2. Place the alignment page face down on the left front corner of the glass with the top of the page facing the left side.

Changing cartridges

for the 5510, the manual says to turn the machine on, then lift the catridge cover piece, which is the flap under the hp symbol on the scanner/copy part...it's the flap that hangs down just above where your print copies come out...it takes a little tugging, but it comes up and then you can see your cartidges...after that, push down on the cartridge and pull it out..

REPLACING INK CARTRIDGS

For HP 5510 series for replacing the cartige, you need to lift the door just above the paper tray. Pull out the old cartidge, hold it so you can see the way it is inserted and click in gently in the same way.
