Xerox Phaser 8560 Waste INk

Is it possible to reuse the waste ink from this printer? It seems like it is just wax ink and one could melt it into a form to re-enter the printer in the black tray?

Although I agree totally, the anwer is no. Althought it appears black, take a piece of it an use it like a crayon. It is a combination of all the color inks combined. So if you take and rub it on a piece of paper it will be a purple color. So threfore would not create proper colors.
Now to save ink, Do not turn the printer off at all. Just let it use its own sleep mode. The power consumption is intermittent to keep the print head warm and uses about the same ammount of electricity as your refridgerator light bulb. The reason being, when you turn off a solid ink printer, it purges the print head of ALL old ink and dumps it into the waste tray. That is part of those weird noises you hear when you cycle up the machine, one is a compressor emptying the print head.
Also, honestly, althogh I am not sure what you are using the machine for. But you would be wise to put that product on a pay per page maintenance agreement. That includes all ink and all service. Some of the parts for those printers are super expensive.
I will say one thing you can do with that waste ink, if you know anyone who has children, they can use them as purple crayons..

You really cannot recycle the waste ink in the 8560. I've tried it and it does not work well. Was a real pain to flush the waste out of the print nozzles. I had tried melting the stuff down and forming a stick. Great idea, if it would work.

I'd be concerned with damaging the print nozzles. Xerox won't warranty if you reuse waste ink.

I think you could use the waste ink for your printer. I think it will just produce the same output that it produces before. Just try it for your self.

Thanks for the update. Actual, I never power the unit down.
I create reports 40-50pages for each customer, as part of my business. I need the speed as well. I will also this year begin using the remote network printing feature. The quantity is great, all my customer comment very positively on this.

I also noticed that when I was printing black pages, the unit was using all colours to produce the black. So, I've set my defaults to black only and this is svaing me big time on the colour cost.

I'm not sure about this pay-per-page agreement, I'll have to see if it is available in Canada.

Anyways, thanks for the feedback.

How can I reset my pitney bowes ink cartridge

The ink cartridges should notbe reset or reused, rregardless ofwwhat some refill places tell you they are made for a single use & refilled ccartridges frequently leak or clog the lines in the meter.

If you are referringto the waste ink ttan, that can be reset using the tech code 6946 then press refill ppostag, go thru the menu todiagnostics, printer, page down & rreplace waste tank & reset. ONLY DO THIS IF YOU ACTUALLY REPLACE THE WASTE TANK.

Waste tank is full for my samsung CLP-300 printer. i don't know where is the waste tank located and how to clear the waste tank.

The waste tank is inside the front cover of the CLP 300 on the left of teh four toner drums. Itgoes down the side and then along the bottom. You can empty it into a bin and then reuse the same container. No need to buy a new one

Printer won't work, note reads thInk well asborer needs replacing

The waste ink absorbers are a couple of pads at the bottom of the printer. Contact Canon (or a service center) if you want to buy a replacement (not all manufacturers sell them). It can be hard to reach the pads but give it a shot. If you are reusing the pads, rinse them with running water until it runs clean. Then once they are dry, reinstall them and put the printer back together.

Then you need to reset the printer waste ink counter:
With the printer connected to power but not on, press the Power button while holding the Stop/Reset button. When the power light is lit, continue to hold the Power button and press the Stop/Reset twice. Release both button (in any order). The printer will now enter the service mode.
When the green LEDs are lit, press the Stop/Reset button 4 times to get to the Waste ink counter reset. Reset this value. Then press the power button (saves the setting) and then restart the printer.

I hope this helps.

Received message ''the waste ink absorber is full'' What can I do?

You will have to replace the waste ink pads. There should be two of them on the right under the print head in rubber containers. It could be a messy job though. I think the pads on that printer has a metallic strip for detecting full condition. So you can't reuse the pads even if you clean them up.

Reset waste ink counter on Epson C60 printer

If both lights are flashing, it means the Waste Ink Pads in your printer are saturated with ink and the waste ink "protection" counter has exceeded its limit. The Waste Ink Pads should be replaced as soon as possible. You can restore your printer to a working condition immediately by using the SSC utility - download from

http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml

and use it to reset the Protection Counter. This will stop the lights flashing and restore normal operation.

However, remember that eventually ink will overflow from the waste ink area and make a dreadful mess, so you must change the waste ink pads before this happens. This requires the disassembly of the printer.

If you decide to have a go at replacing the ink pads yourself, report back and I will provide further help.

Refill Toner Cartridge for Laser Printer

Nobody has a clue how to refill a laser cartridge with ink. :)))

OK< just kidding, here it is:

First of all, laser-cartridges have toner (a fine black powder) and not ink.
Second: There are 2 methods to refill a laser cartridge: dismounting it to get to the toner chamber (involves a lot of tehnical skill) or the melt-and-pour method (see here http://www.urefilltoner.co.uk/), but you need the melting device.

But because from your question i see you dont know a thing about refilling, better go to a refill center.
