Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

I tried to copy a vhs tape to a dvd disc using a MAGNAVOX DV220MW9 with a s-video cable all I got was ''NO SIGINAL'' reply. Using the RCA cables was ok but I had hoped for better quality using the S-video. Am I doing some thing wrong?

VCR WON'T RECORD

you may have the outputs hooked up correctly however you may need to set the inputs to the selected type of cable you are using. S video 1 cable or video input witch is an rca adapter yellow in color. you will find these setting in the "setup section" on the remote set up button will get you there and then input or source.

your model is "tuner free" that means it does not have the RF screw in connector. Buy one that has a tuner, preferably both ATSC(USA digital) and NTSC(USA analog)

Everything's in black & white

are you using the s video socket if so you will get black & white picture you need to use rca phono to rca phono or rca phono to scart lead to record to dvd burner. as I do alot of copying over myself i never use s-video socket due to cable wrongly wired for colour just black video signal. hope this works for you
