Try it without the battery installed, just on ac power. If that works, fire it up, and then install the battery, which may be in 'deep discharge ' mode.

P35-611 shuts down while plugged in but not while on battery

using a multi-purpose duster spray can seems to have solved this for me. i dusted the keyboard and a few other areas(carefully) with a q-tip. i wasn't able to fully open my laptop but i sprayed and q-tipped a little on the inside(i couldn't get to the fan which supposedly gathers the most dust) and when i feel the computer getting too warm,i'll spray the keyboard and the back of the computer and my computer ,which was shutting down **** near constantly, hasn't spontaneously shut down since, and i took out the battery. if your problem is dust, this might be at least a partial solution. if you need to take your laptop apart, there are videos on youtube, although like i say i wasn't able to take my p35-s611 all the way apart without possibly damaging the machine.

HHello there,\r\n I have a very strange problem

i think the major problem is the "immediate stop", if we properly analyze this symptom we can get the solution. when we plug the AC/DC adapter to the laptop, it shuts down; so there are two major causes:
  1. OVP protection problem (Over voltage protection)
the 19V of the adapter is not properly regulated; we need to replace te AC/AC adaptor
2. OCP protection problem (Over current protection) if the power jack is broken, it cause a bad metal to metal contact, in this case the transient current increase fastly, the power managment IC go to the standby mode; to protect all other device ( cpu, memory, graphic controller etc) , only two voltage are present: 3.3V always on and 5V always on, we can charge the battery. to solve the problem, we need to replace the power jack located on the laptop motherboard. here the picture of the power jack:

Laptop shutting down

I think you need to disable the power saving options which you will find in Control Panel -> Power Option. Make sure that every thing is set to never under When Computer is Plugged in.

I hope that this will solve your problem

Cordless Mouse #CE0682

The mouse is not supposed to go off when the computer is turned off. But it does have three modes so that it can recognize the power it needs to use: in use mode, temporary not in use mode, and long-term or overnight not in use modes. The red light should flicker in the second mode and should dim in the third mode. If you want to save batteries though, you can keep taking them out.

Problem During Boot-Up

several things it could be but im going to look at the obvious the battery and cord hook up
laptops when plugged into contstant 120 power the battery is supposed to go into stand by mode and shut battery off so power dont leak into battery
if you have low battery with it plugged into 120 the comp will still think the battery is powering the laptop if battery dead then comp shuts down lack of power

other thing is somehow you caught a virus that reboots comp from dos screen mode
the main thing i always ask is what was the last thing that happened before it did what its doing now
example= was there a power surge pop up screens ect.
