I have an older 325 Impulse solids state that will not come on?

I have an older Paslode model 325 Impulse solids state framing nailer. I have a fully charged battery and fresh gas, but nothing happens when I pull the trigger or push down on the trigger release. Any ideas?

If there is a safety, I have no idea where it is. This is an older model (black version) that uses the tubular stick batteries.

Where to purchase batteries and gas for the 325 black impulse cordless nailer.

you can try Lowes or Home Depot for the gas and possibly batterys. If you give me your general area I will try and find a local supplier if they don't have them at the box stores.

What is the proper way to oil a Paslode 900420?

There is no oiling necessary until the gun is fully serviced as instructed in the "cleaning manual." The cleaning manual at paslode.com has a schedule.

I have a PASLOAD 325 IMPULSE Framing Nailer. I have cleaned, replaced gas, charged battery, and oiled. Fan runs fine. spark has been tested with firing head removed. Solid spark every time. When assembled...

checkk the safety to make sure it fully depresses. Also check the gas for the expiration date that is on eht bottom and lastly did you replace the O ring in the fan area if it is an older unit. What I do is leave the top cover with the filter off and pull the pusher spring all the way back and then WITHOUT gas OR ATTERY in tool push down to make sure the safety fully depresses. Also did you remember to reinstall the push rods. also look at the gas stem.

Paslode nail gun 325 black not firing

Any time these guns become intermittent or stop firing but the fan still runs, the first the to check is the expiration date on the gas cartridges. The do expire and this will make the gun work inconsistently or not at all.

The fireing pin will not return fully

could be a jammed nail, the safety could be bent or the tool is dirty and needs to be cleaned and serviced. You can go to Paslode.com and type in your model number for information about how to disassemble and clean and service this tool, its not that hard.

Paslode cordless framing nailer model 325 (black)

the fan is what returns the valve in the chamber, whilst it may have been lubed it must be spotless in the chamber. Use paslode gun cleaner a clean cloth and the handle of a wooden spoon or similar and clean all residue and grime out of chamber and re lube. Or you just have a dead tool that was used for parts! good luck

1 Answer

Paslode framing nailer loss of power.

Here's what I found at the Paslode Troubleshooting Site:
Tool will not cycle - fan runs, indicator light
is solid green.

Lockout bracket is stuck in lockout position.
Work-contacting element is bent, or build-up of
debris in track restricts operation.
Follower is not behind fasteners.
Fuel Cell empty.
Spark wire out of spark plug.
Spark plug is dirty.
No spark is generated.
Check lockout.

Remove and inspect lower probe. Clean and
lubricate track with Paslode Impulse® oil.
Repair or replace lower probe as required.
Position follower behind fasteners.
Replace fuel cell.
Remove cap and check spark lead, insert in
spark plug and replace cover.
Clean tool cylinder head and spark plug.

If this doesn't work, I suggest contacting Paslode directly 800-222-6990
