Question about Audiovox Car Audio & Video
Disconnect all speaker connections and rca cables. Leave power, ground and remote wires intact. Try turning on again. If you still have a protection light your amp is faulty. Hopefully you have warranty. Try using a different speaker on each channel. I always keep a test set of 6.5 " speakers in a small carry box for testing .A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if this answer is helpful to you.

Sounds like the amp is in protection mode. try disconnecting the subs and see it the light changes to green. if it does then the subs are your problem. if the light was allways red while it was working then the subs may be disconnected inside the box or have gone bad. try using a diffrent speaker and connect to the amp.

Whats the condition of your amplifier? New , Used, Old?
You might have a blown channel off your amplifier, this may cause little or no sound. You will have some distortion, crackle sound and then maybe nothing at all. What kind of subs are you running to it? Make sure the subs arent blown and check the voice coils to see that they are not torn off the subs , these are the 2 little silver or copper wires that are connected from the speaker connectors to the sub itself.
