Hello definedeclin,

Try pressing the <Ctrl> + <Alt> + <Del> keys together.
If that doesn't work then the Asus Eee PC 900 user manual has this information:
Click 'Instant Shutdown' and select an action from the dialog box. You can activate the task manager, put the system in standby, restart or shut down the system.

Here's a link to download the ... user manual (zip file):

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Hi. i have an ibook G4 and my brother set a password on it and he's asleep and i dont want to wake him.. is there anyway i can get around this password?

To reset your OS X password without an OS X CD you need to enter terminal and create a new admin account:
  1. Reboot
  2. Hold apple + s down after you hear the chime.
  3. When you get text prompt enter in these terminal commands to create a brand new admin account (hitting return after each line):
    • mount -uw /
    • rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
    • shutdown -h now
  4. After rebooting you should have a brand new admin account. When you login as the new admin you can simply delete the old one and you're good to go again!

My IBM ThinkPad A30 indicate that it's in "sleep mode" and I can't wake it up. Can you help me?

Usually, it wakes up when you touch a key, or the track-point (mouse). If it still doesn't wake up, you may want to press the power switch ... or hold it (down) for 4 or 5 seconds or so ... but it may (shut-down and) reboot the computer.

I have Windows 7 on my Asus desktop. When shutting down I accidently clicked on Sleep. No I can't wake up my computer. I have tried pushing the moon button on the keyboard and restarting my computer as...

If I were you I would just press and hold the power button on your computer tower until it shut's off and then turn the computer back on. I assume that since you were shutting it down that you had nothing important open, so forcing it to shut down won't hurt anything.

Sleep mode wakes up on it's own

turning off all the power saving items does not help this- it just ensures that it doesn't automatically power down your hard drive or shut off power to your monitor automatically when you aren't using it.
May I suggest Hibernation Mode as an alternative? this mode saves everything you are doing to disc and shuts your computer down completely. when you turn it back on, it will restore what you were last doing onto the screen, so you can pick up where you left off.
you can find more information on this and sleep mode from here: http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/Help/335c6a5d-0304-4af1-b135-6bf6c124dc111033.mspx#EZAAC

Switch the batteries and then hold down the red button on the Wii and press 1 and 2. If that doesn't work try other Wii remotes. If those work get some new Wii remotes and if not then have your Wii checked
