My Jeep cherokee fan motor run, when ignition switch is off,but does not run when engine is running.why?

the fans are there to cool the engine but once you stop the car the temperature is not being cooled by movement of air and water circulation via the water pump so the fan cuts in for a short time to stop the temperatures causing damage. when driving the air cools the motor enough to keep it a t the right temp no air movement no cooling.

Tip

Keep your dryer running how it should and save money

service your dryer every 3 months if you use it 3/4 times a week 2 times a week every 6 months it is important easy to do yourself but make sure you turn the power off 1st depending on the make or model you need to get into the inside of your dryer and vac all the lint and dust out all around it builds up on the motor and heater fan if the motor fan gets blocked it will cause the dryer to stop and you will have to wait till it cools down for it will start again not good as the motor will burn out or could catch fire if you follow my advice your machine will last longer and work better

Cooling fan inop 1995 mustang gt 5.o

you can check the cooling fan by disconnecting the plug at the motor and run jumper wires from the battery directly to the fan motor it should run if its working if it doesn`t run then the cooling fan motor needs replacing. if it does run then check the plug for a bad connection. other things can cause this like the cooling fan relay, the coolant sensor that sends a signal for the computer to turn on the cooling fan by sending a signal to the relay.

My blower motor wont turn off in my furnance?

check the fan setting on your thermostat. On means always on, auto/int means only comes on during heating/cooling. if the thermostat is set to auto / int and the fan keeps running? you may have a bad fan relay switch. It may be integral on the primary control board of your unit.

Check that the fan is working properly, whether it is electric or a belt driven fan. A car will overheat if the fan doesn't function as originally designed.

I have a dayton fuel trimmer furnace model # 3E438A and the problem is that upon ignition to the furnace the unit runs and after about 3 minutes the units inducer fan shuts off and the flames stays on....

It sounds to me like your draft motor is probably shuttimg off on thermal overload. They will get to hot and shut down until the motor cools down then run again. But by that time it's caused other trouble so I think you need to replace the motor first and then see what other problems it has caused.I hope this helps you and thanks.

Ihave a Goodman GUS075-3 model. Turned the heat on for the first time this year. After abt 5 mins. running it started to smell like it was on fire, the breaker shut off. Now,the pilot keeps going out and...

I would suspect that your fan motor burned out. What I would suggest is wait about 1/2 hour with thermostat turned down to lowest setting where it is not trying to turn furnace on. I would then turn thermostat back up to call for heat and see what happens. Most electric motors have a thermal overload on them and if its on motor will not run until it cools back down. Even if this works I would recommend that you have motor replaced and clean blower. Hope this helps. Thanks

What powers the cooling fan motors my ac is not cooling properly the motors come on, but they are not turning fast enough. got straight power to motors, they both work ok.

you may find that the cooling fans only run at half speed when the a/c is on they might be set that way & run at full speed when the engine starts to overheat (in stop & go traffic) the a/c may need regassing that's why it is not cooling properly.....hope this helps...... cheers..

Amana Cooling Condensing Unit fan stops spinning after 15 mins

Capacitor, dirty condencer coil causing the motor amps to run too high. But most likely worn bearing on blade side of motor causing it to pull to one side causing it to over heat and shut down. Sleve bearings should have no side play.

Radiator cooling fan 30 amp. fuse keep blowing

The fan may run with jumper wires but if it''s blowing the 30 Amp Maxifuse it's needs a new or used fan motor. It's pulling too many amps.I have almost never seen a fan relay concern.Only other thing you may check is the wiring down near the fan shoud I have seen the 2 wires get loose from the conduit & melt onto exhaust manifold.Hope tHis Helps
