I'm pretty sure that model of laptop doesn't have a CD-ROM, or any optical media drive, could be your problem.
If you have an external one connected, there should be a button on the external device, alternatively open "My Computer" and right click on the optical drive and select "Eject" to eject the tray.
There could be a hardware issue or something stuck in there.
In front of the CD drive you will see a pin hole as shown in the image below.
Insert a pin in the hole and and press it. The tray will come a little ahead, you can pull it out. See if there is something getting stuck or any cd inside it. Close it and try to open it with the button. If it wont work it is a hardware issue and need a replacement or repair.
Note: You can take out the tray with the help of the pin, even if the PC is turned off.
IS IT ON?...DOES CDROM HAVE POWER GETTING TO IT FROM PC? Next to open/close switch there is a small pin-hole. Push a paperclip into this hole and gently pull out tray...try gently pushing tray back in and watch for a blinking green light;if none either the cdrom is not getting power, or it has quit working
1. There should be a button in the middle of the CDROM tray, click on it and it will eject the CDROM Tray.
2. Open My Computer> Right click on CD/DVDROM icon & click eject.
Take a metal paperclip, straighten it out. Look on the front of the CDRom tray there should be a tiny hole, insert straightened paperclip and push to eject the tray manually. If the CDRom is hidden behind a flap built into the case this will need opening or removing first. After this if the CDRom fails to eject the drive belt has gone slack, its easier and more cost effective to replace it with a DVDRom or Writer.
If u r Tray not Opening u have a small hole on the top side of u r CDROM just put a sharp object and insert it and press it when the machine is ON then the tray little bit will come outside just pull the tray by the handit will come outside
Make sure you are not accessing the disc when trying to eject. You should receive an error message that the disc is busy, but sometimes it is behind another open window and you may overlook it. Close whatever files are being accessed by applications and try again.
