Pen not tapering lines - no sensitivity?

Please Help!
lately i can't get the pen to draw anything but solid lines with no variations no matter how i adjust works on my older PC but on my new PC I can only get one thickness of line, ...I want to taper lines like a brush, but this thing isn't working. I have played with sensitivity settings and given Photoshop all the memory i can, but still this thing does not work right at all! Help!

a second issue is photoshop related...using the pad and pen in Photoshop, there is lately a big delay (1-2 seconds or more!) from drawing to seeing results, and that is a frustrating impossible mess...
Can i get this expensive product to work right? What do i have to do?

You should address this issue to Adobe people.

SOURCE: Pressure sensitivity problem in Photoshop CS3

OK, I found the problem -- if you open photoshop with the mouse (whether it be through the quicklaunch bar, start menu, or desktop icon), the pressure sensitivity doesn't work. If you open it with the stylus or function button (I have a function button mapped for photoshop now because of this, since there's no icon on my tablet's display with how I have my display set up) the pressure sensitivity works fine.

A quick KIND of fix, but until Adobe actually does something about it, this is probably the easiest way to do it.

SOURCE: After using my Wacom bamboo tablet with Photoshop

Try holding down whichever key on the keyboard that seems to be the culprit and then click with your tablet mouse.  I used to have this problem with my bamboo and I'm using Mac.  For me, it was like the control button was being held down when I'd let the computer idle for a long time.

Illustrator CS5 does not recognize my graphic pen, wether with the Wacom tablet or my new Monoprice tablet. It draws a yellow sticky note kind of thing, it is annoying and I can't find a solution,

I too have a tablet not made by Wacom. For some reason, Illustrator only opens the tablet-sensitive definitions for Wacom. The solution I found: Go to the Wacom site, install the latest intuos driver. You won't be using it, but it will trick Illustrator into thinking there's a Wacom installed, the definitions will be active for your pen. Mine seems to work fine now.

Pen Lag?

I had a serious lag issue with Genius Easypen F610E. You draw a square but the signal is laggy and it is unable to draw it properly. Leaves even a trace behind (see pic below with black squares). Searched the internet for solutions, it seems some others have the same issue.
Changing battery didnt help. Changing computer and OS didnt help. But its an issue of electrostatics (pen, tablet, your body) as I noticed. I needed to wrap a foil around the pen's upper part, and connect it to battery's minus terminal. That fixed the lag problem. Its not pretty, but it works.(see green squares in the picture).
It's seems to be a design flaw.

Why has my bamboo pen and tablet become so sensitive?

I've had the intuos and it worked for years without incident. I have the bamboo and after only a few months it's having issues. WTF is up with that?! I've already changed the nub out once. It worked fine for a while but now... I have to double click to get it to release anything it grabs onto. As a graphic artist where precision is involved... that's very bad.

I think it's time to contact their customer service.

I have a wacom Intuos2. I have some proble with the pression of my pen. Suppose i draw something using the pen, it continues to draw even if the pen is not touching the tablette anymore. It happens with...

In the wacom control panel, there is a sensitivity setting. move the slider to less sensitive. this does not affect the pen pressure, only how sensitive the tablet is to recognizing the pens presence.

Drawing problem in PS cs4

Go to your Brushes.

Click on the Brush Tip Shape tab.

Make sure the box is ticked that says 'Spacing' and set it as low as you can (1%) for the smoothest effect.

My cursor was smooth and easy to draw with, but now it's all shaky and won't draw well!

the latest drivers have 2 modes...

1 open the driver control panel
2 at the top of the window double click the intuos3 tablet that is giving you problems
3 choose standard mode instead of recognition data

... this is at least what worked for me. I hope it helps.
