Question about Mitsubishi WD-52725 52". Rear Projection HDTV

2 Answers

WD-52725 Blue screen no matter what device I choose, Cable, DVD etc. Except it read a card in the front and displayed jpegs? No sound either which is funny to me because if it's the lamp shouldn't I hear sound? I checked cable connections and all seems fine. No red light in front showing bulb is bad?

Didn't work. Back to a blue screen but now it has some white lines pulsing on screen. For a moment I had a bright red light and the TV went off. Turned it back on and all is back to blue.

Thanks again MRNiceGuy, Well I still have the blue screen. It has gotten worse now there is white lines in the middle. So it sounds like a DM thingy? Is it time to call a repair technician to come out?

this may be true, and very expensive. But I really appreciate you time and efforts. Thank you!

If you get a blue screen than your lamp is working fine. blue screen is considered "video mute" it display that blue if the tv thinks there is no video. try to reset the tv by pressing - menu 123 then reset to system defaults.

ok try MENU 2470 BUT MAKE SURE THAT YOU DONT DO ANYTHING BUT PRESS ENTER ON "INITIALIZE" this will do a complete reset of the tv software. if that works but then you have the same problem down the road i suspect you are having a DM module problem

Hi,

Display Reads - No Read or UNSUPPORTED when using DVD

If you cant play a real dvd in it, the laser is prob out of allignment or broken, if its just dvd that you burned, try changing disc type, there is +R and -R , also if that does not work try a different program to burn discs ? good program is convert X to dvd, not free, unless your good at torrents :)

NO PICTURE

Refer to the manual (free download here). Generally, a blue screen indicates a very low or non-existent signal. This can happen when the antenna is unable to gather enough of a signal from a particular broadcaster, or if an A/V input is selected, but the A/V device is not on or providing a signal. Since you are not seeing channel information when tuning, I suspect that the television is set to display an A/V input instead of the internal tuner.

With a working remote, locate the TV/AV button on the lower left (manual page 3 - item 8). When this button is pressed, you can choose to display signals on the ANT, VIDEO1, VIDEO2 or COMPONENT jacks. The ANT selection chooses the input on the RF jack such as an antenna or cable TV (with or without converter box). If using a cable box, the TV tuner should be set to Ch3 or Ch4 as determined by your cable box. Otherwise, select the VIDEO1, VIDEO2 or COMPONENT input that has the source signals you wish to watch from a cable box, DVD player, etc. that is connected to the rear input jacks. Page 7 of the manual details the connection and remote operation.

I hope this helps!

Toshiba 32a43 32' picture garbled mess

If you can get the tv to display the blue blackground(usually happens when there is no antenna or cable feed to tv) check to see if the whole screen is a solid blue, if it shows discolored areas around the screen then you might have to "demag" the screen. See if you can rent a demad coil from a tv shop and with tv on turn the coil in circular movements all over the front of screen till blue is solid.good luck!

Devices do not display visual or audio input, just a blue screen.

You need a repairman. These sets have a bunch of small capacitors that fail on these sets. There is more than one board with this problem. Do your homework and find a good reputable repair shop to fix this for you. It's not something the average person can do. Sorry for the news. Not a simple fix. Mistubishi has a problem with capacitors and it's been this way for more than 20 years. It's ALWAYS bad capacitors that cause Mitsubishi's to fail.
