Question about Kenmore Microwave Ovens
Depending on what you mean by the vent, and they are all different, probably nothing. In most cases the vents allow the fan to evacuate air from within the oven. Usually the vent is not a direct path to the fan. If the unit still works and has no noise I would not be concerned. If you are really concerned you could probably remove the cover and retrieve the penny but if you try the unit and there are no problems (noise) there probably is no reason to go any further.
