Question about Toshiba Satellite L25-S119 Notebook
I have a Toshiba Satellite L25-S119 that does not power on when on AC power or battery. I have tried 2 different AC adapters. The battery light does not light on AC power but the same AC adapter works on another one of my computers. If you press the power button the battery light will flash quickly yellow several times and then go out on both AC and battery. Same scenario with the battery out on the unit but AC plugged in. I think it should power up that way atleast my IBM does. It does not seem to be the adapter and if it was the battery I would think it should power up on AC without the battery in as my IBM does? Any suggestions would be appreciated. The power connector on the motherboard is very solid and not loose. Had to have that replaced once before as the pin broke. Please resopnd to firstname.lastname@example.org.
thanks - gc

The Toshiba laptops are famous for the power jack wriggling loose from the motherboard. Once it gets so loose the adapter power stops and it uses battery power until that runs out. You can usually move the power cord around until it starts working again but this is just a temporary fix and the jack will eventually need to be replaced. Most computer shops charge between 100-250 bucks for this service.

Hmmm..not sure about this one..seems that your m/b may in fact have some bad circuitry, that the power supply sees, and won't run into...
the ac adaptor works on another machine, so your Toshiba sounds like it's having a bad time.
is it under warranty?
