Latham 5000e timeclock stopped working in mid operation. Now seems like no power. Help?

If you mean the power adapter plug, that connection is on the right side of the laptop near the back of the machine. It's between the PC Card slot and an air intake. let's start with the basics. Are you sure you are getting the correct power to the unit? If 120 volts, use meter and check across power and neutral, not power and ground. If correct power is present, check the defrost timeclock for proper operation. If bad and stuck in the defrost cycle, nothing will work except for the defrost heaters. It should terminate defrost cycle and return to the freeze cycle, but if terminator is bad, it will just sit in defrost. Start here and get back to me and we can continue.

e^x is just to the left of the 4 key.

This has happened to me when the power has gone out. It doesn't display anything and all you can do is restart the cycle.

The power window mechanism, if it slows then stops in mid operation, is a sign that there is damage to 1) the power window motor or, 2) the guide cable.

Have these checked by a qualified technician.

Try turning off the breaker for 5 minutes and see if it resets the system!

Faulty Pump and Motor Assembly




GE models that will not wash or drain often have a faulty Pump and Motor Assembly. If the motor is receiving power from the timer and it is not operating that is the case.
Temporary Work-around:
With the power turned off to the unit, sometimes it is possible to manually rotate the cooling fan on the motor assembly. In certain situations where the dishwasher has set idle for a period of time, this may free the bearings enough that the unit will begin to operate. Where this works as a short term solution in some cases, it is often a sign of things to come. The frequency of the motor seizing will increase until it will simply no longer work
