Question about Canon GL2 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
Wow, ended up with the same problem tonight!!!! What a coincident.. So far I have found if I remove the clock battery, it boots every time.... hoping that all it is is that the clock battery is dead... wait have DVM right here...hmmmm.. 2.98V... but have turned camera on and off dozen times... still starting up....

This is usually caused by an oxidized, misaligned or defective Audio/Video drum. You can try running a cleaning tape through the camera. If this does not solve the problem the camera will need to be serviced by a qualified service technician.
