Question about Eureka 2991AVZ Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum
Right where the belt connects to the brush, the bearings inside the black square mounting peice all came out causing it to smoke. When I looked at it closely it looked to have melted the plastic and caused the bearings to fall out. I bought this vaccum only last christmas (06'). Is it already to old?
Alot of times things get wound up on the brush roll ends and causes friction, the ends will overheat and melt, you just have to replace the brush roll(62365-2) and a new belt (61120A)while you are at it. Also check the slots where the brush sit in to make sure they didn't melt too, if so you would have to replace the base(62577).
