Question about Hotpoint HSS25GFP Side by Side Refrigerator

No water from dispenser. I replaced the funnel assembly and the mounting bracket and I am not getting any water from the dispenser. I had thought the dispenser funnel was not working because one if the tabs on the funnel was broken.

I found that my ice tray had a layer of ice built up in the bottom. I cleaned that all out and later in the evening my water dispenser started working again. The only thing I can figure is that the water tube froze up and once the tray was cleaned out it allowed the tube to defrost.
Hope that helps.

What can be done to fix this without having to change whole unit?. - "water from nozzle from door dispenser assembly 4200960 of subzero s690 is spewing out on to kitchen floor instead of vertically down...

Hi,

Remove the dispense and reinstall the waterline back into dispenser housing. Make sure the this is the only source of the water issue you have. The tube can slid back into the dispenser and cause the water to run behind the assembly. this is rare thought for the only way this could happen is the dispenser was replaced and the hose was not reinstalled correctly.

Good Luck

Can water/ice dispenser be fixed without replacing door

Go to www.repairclinic.com and enter GSS25SGRSS. With luck, you will be presented with a list of common replacement parts/assemblies and will be able to determine whether the dispenser is available as a separate assembly.

How do i replace ps 652226 ice funnel ge ziss480drbs

carefully removed the trim from around the dispenser area by gently prying the trim off careful not to brake it. then freed the catches in the top of the electronic card. I leaned the card forward and disconnected the electrical connections, then removed the card. I removed the four screws holding the shield to the door and removed the shield. Then I removed the funnel from the shield and removed the spring from the old funnel and placed it on the new one. I removed the light and socket from the old shield and installed the in the new one, then installed the new funnel on the new shield, used the four screws to install the assembly on the door and replaced the trim piece. The fabric softner dispenser does not release the liquid softner

The fabric softener solenoid valve is faulty and must be replaced. It is sold as an assembly with the bleach solenoid valve with part number 997846. You need to remove the front panel to lift the top panel to inspect or replace the valves.

Front panel removal procedure:
  1. Unplug the machine.
  2. Turn off the water supply.
  3. Open the door and remove it by removing the screws on the hinges holding it.
  4. Remove the remaining two screws on the opposite side along the inside lip of the door opening.
  5. Press in on the outer upper edges of the front panel posts then twist it inward to release it from the clips on the face of the cabinet.
  6. Tilt the top of the front panel away from the washer and remove it.
  7. Remove the four screws holding the dispenser bezel to the top of the top panel.
  8. Remove the 5/16" hex head screws securing the two hold down brackets on the top panel.
  9. Swing the hold down brackets to the outside to unhook it from the slot in the top panel lip.
  10. Lift the front of the top panel and tilt it toward the rear of the machine.
  11. The dispenser valve assembly is the one on right of the water inlet valve assembly where the water supply line is attached to. The fabric softener dispenser valve is the one on the right most.
  12. Clean the terminals and the connector of the fabric softener dispenser valve.
  13. Grab a multimeter and check the resistance between its terminals. The resistance should be between 500 to 1000 ohms. If it reads open, replace the dispenser valve assembly.
  14. Remove the wire harness connections to the valve solenoids.
  15. Loosen and remove the hose clamps on the hoses.
  16. Loosen the valve mounting screws by turning it at least three full turns.
  17. Slide the valve assembly to the left and remove it from the bracket.
  18. Place a towel below the valve and remove the hoses.
  19. Install the new dispenser valve assembly in reverse order.
  20. Install the top panel, dispenser bezel, front panel and the door in reverse order of the removal procedure.
