Reddy Heater 55,000 has trouble igniting with top half attached

Reddy Heater 55,000 has trouble igniting with top half of outer tube attached. When top half of tube is off. Heater runs great.

    What do you mean by the top half of the outer tube? I have a reddy heater and it doesn't make sense. Give me more info and I will help you. hardrocko

I'm assuming you mean the protective cover on the top of the unit? If so pull the back off the unit. Replace the filter. Buy a test gauge at www.reddyparts.com and set the pressure to 3.5 psi and I think your unit will run fine.Let me know how you make out.

Reddy Heater R50A will not ignite


yep.plug the unit in and look in the back of unit.should see an orange glow.if you don't the glow bar is not comming on

Reddy Heater R55 concerns


They are grounds, and should have two screws on the burner tray to hold it from moving. On my heater this is where the grounds get attached. It gives the igniter a dedicated direct ground.

Ours did that too one year. Seems to me we changed the spark plug, it had spark but too weak I think.
