I assume you mean the input channels.

Things to check:

1. Do the sliders work smoothly or do they have rough spot?

2. Is the trim (top knob) turned up?

3. Are the gain controls for the mix turned up? Try turning up the mon controls on the dead channels and see if they come through the Mon outputs. Try turning up the FX inputs and see if they reach the FX level sensing.

4.Are the pan controls set center? Mutes off?

5. Has any liquid been spilled into the unit?

6. Has an "accident" occured such as driving the inouts with a high voltage or something with a ground loop? Has something smashed down on the slider knobs? (this sometimes breaks the resistance element in the sliders or cracks the board.

A reasonable amount of troubleshooting can be done from the available outputs and some of the above things may seem silly, but with all the options on these units it is easy to overlook something.

The Clip LED on Channel 1 of my SA220 is on continuously even with nothing plugged in the XLR or 1/4 inch inputs. Not getting amplification when inputs are used. Why?

That light is showing that there is power to amp in that speaker but there is something wrong with the amp or the speaker inside and nothing is coming out. You will have to troubleshoot the amp and check the resistance of the speaker to see what the problem is.

That can be caused by a faulty switch contact. I presume channels can be selected manually.

Getting distorted sound when connecting from mac pc headphone jack to 1/4" line in input

You are connecting a NOISY unbalnced line to a balanced input. Buy a DI box and then use an XLR to XLR to the mixer inout and run the MAC into the DI with "ground lifted". You will need to make a resistive mixer between the headphone jack and the DI as well. The headphone jack is STEREO. You COULD try a STEREO 1/8 inch splitter to 1/4 inch left and right cable... you MIGHT get away with that. Right now the left and right amps in the MAC are fighting eachother.

The missing nut is not likely to kill the channel. You just bought this so exercise your warranty... unless it is used in which case you bought someone else's problem. Somebody probably blew out the channel by zapping it with high voltage that destroyed the input circuit of the channel. Often there are bypass capcitors right at the input which short out. If this is boiught used, take to a repair shop and if new, exercise your warranty. I suspect they removed the nut from the connector to mark the dead channel.

HI, My behringer 32 channel eurodesk mixer's some of the channels not working. No sound for the mike input. Please help. I am in phoenix, where can i take this?

Has somebody spilled liquid into the unit? Are you using XLR to XLR mic cables? If using condenser mics you need Phantom power on else NOT.

If the faders are noisy, use CRC226 in them. You can get that at Home Depot in the electrical dept.

NEVER use contact cleaner such as Deox.it or BlueShower in faders... it wrecks them

What is the source of the input signals? These need to be balanced lines and the sources need to be balanced. If you happen to be using condenser mics, you probably haven't turned on the Phantom Power in the mixer. If you are recording from a sound card in the PC, those have a lot of noise and are unbalanced and you have to use DI's with ground lift ahead of this mixer.

This sounds bad... I suspect that a noise suppression cap on one side of the bad channel has shorted... possibly due to a static discharge.
Test for this doing this: Using a meter, with nothing plugged in and phantom on, check the voltage at both pins 2 and 3 to pin 1 of the XLR connectors. If you find either pin 2 or 3 is much lower than its mate (they both should be 15 volts to 48 volts positive), then one side noise filter cap probably has shorted. Unless you are electronically adept at repair, take it in for servicing.

How to connect mixer to a crown power base 2 amp and speakers

just use the main left and right outputs of the behringer to run xlr (3 prong balanced) to 1/4 inch (looks like a big headphone plug) cables into the inputs of the crown amp. the mixer has the xlr outputs and the amp has 1/4 inch inputrs, sop the cables will have to reflect that on both ends. run the outputs of the amp (rca outputs, i believe, you may have to get a rca plug to 1/4 inch jack adapter, and then use a 1/4 inch speaker cable) to the inputs of the speakers, again, the amp has rca outputs and the speakers will likely have 1/4 inputs, so you will have to address that wil an adapter. have each speaker in its own channel.

Thiis amp has plenty of gain for mics. Make sure your mic has a good XLR to XLR cable (balanced) and connects to the XLR input connectors. If you have 1/4 inch jack cables that aren't TRS balanced on the mics, get rid of them and get XLR's.

Then push the PFL button down (LED will light red) for a single channel with a mic and adjust the trim (top knob for the channel) so that the level peaks without clipping on the main LED display when highest input to the mic is being generated. You should not get clipping then during operation.

After that you use the slider tio adjust the level for the mic. The MAIN slider should be at least up around -10 to zero during operation. If your main slider is way down, then you haven't balanced your channels properly. Do the same for each channel as the instructions for the mic above. If the gains of the other inputs are too high and the MAIN slider too low, this is what is causing your problem.

Typically the trims for mics like Shure 58 are about 3 o'clock.

High level guitars may have trims anywhere from 9 to 3 o'clock.

Ideally you will want your channel sliders to be between -10 and zero.

I have recently purchased a Behringer Eurolive 1800 sub, what outs or sends do I use on my mx3242x to the amp

You use the balanced MAIN outputs. They are XLR and you should run those on balanced lines to your AMP which should have EITHER XLR inputs or TRS balanced 1/4 inch jacks to receive them.

DO NOT use mono inputs on your amp... make sure they have balanced inputs.

Note, for SAFETY of your equipment, ALWAYS power any connected stuff from teh same receptacle or power distribution system.
