Go to www.desatech.com in the customer care center you will find a link to get owners manual. If they don't have the right owners manual look in the tech tips they have the diagrams in there also.

Need wiring for on-off switch

Hi Joe. Typically the switch interrupts the hot wire, which is black. Therefore, two black wires are connected to the two screws on the switch. Look in the area where you see the one black wire and you should find a second black wire. Connect each of the to the switch and you will be switching [controlling] the hot [black] wire.

I need help connecting black wire ( hot line wire) from safty switch. It fell off and I can't figuar out where to put it back on the control board.

On the reverse side of the door panel is a wiring diagram. It is in very small print so get a magnifying glass. Find "L1" on the Schematic side of the wiring diagram (the picture more like a road map). Follow the wire thru the door switch and then down to the control board. It will connect to a terminal possibly marked D1, T1, L1 or what ever the diagram says. Please make sure power is off to the heater prior to doing this.

Need to hook up a honeywell rth2310b with only 2 wires!

In some situations the wall plate has no markings, there are just two terminals hooked up to the control wire for the heater. I just installed this thermostat on my gas fireplace. I connected the black wire to the Rc terminal and the white wire to the W terminal. With the thermostat set to heat it works perfectly. Thanks to johnptaylor for the help!

Line voltage Tstat installation Dayton D-F79 elctric shop heater

If I understand your post correctly....You state that you are hooking up a 240v heater and towards the end you speak of removing jumpers...W2 terminals..ect. It sounds to me your trying to us a 24v low voltage thermostat instead of a Line voltage thermostat. That's what I'd take a look at.

Hooking up my heater

The white is the common neutral, it is probably a 3 wire unit, and you are missing the ground wire. Check inside the control panel and see if someone wired it using the white wire for the ground, it will be screwed into a terminal lug. Check the schematics to see if the unit requires a common neutral to run the controls.
