Question about Mitsubishi WS-55613 55" Rear Projection HDTV

1 Answer

Picture Flickers Sporadically, the screen flickers with the DTV antenna. I turn it off wait a few seconds and turn it back on and no flicker. I can last several hours or just a few minutes. It does not seem to have any rhyme or reason to the problem.

There is a surface mount 9v regulator location # IC2925 i think. part # BA09FP that part is mostly likely the problem. it is located on the board right behind the video inputs. on the bottom right corner(looking at from back)

If the picture on your TV flickers, there may be a simple fix. Here are some possible answers and suggested solutions:

1. Your set-top box may need a simple reboot. Unplug the power connection to the set-top box for about 30 seconds. Reconnect the power and turn the set-top box back on.

2. Check all of your cables for a loose connection by tightening each one with your fingers.Flickers can sometimes be caused by bends in rigid cables, too.

3. If your picture flickers to a black or blue screen, you could have a bad set-top box. Contact your cable or satellite service provider about installing a new one.

4. If you still have audio, the flickering could also mean that you have a failing backlight.

For additional troubleshooting information, check out the chart at TV flickering for more solutions. I hope this helps!

What you should do when your phone screen flickers or freezes

When your phone freezes or flickers, you should:
1.) Turn off the phone.
2.) Remove the battery cover of the phone.
3.) Now you have to remove the battery.
4.) Clean the battery and the cover with a soft cloth to get rid of the dust.
5.) Wait for a few seconds (10-15 seconds).
6.) After that, re-insert the battery back in the phone.
7.) Put back the battery cover.
8.) Then, turn the phone on.

**I would recommend this to Sony Ericsson cell phones and there is no harm in tying it for other phone models as well.

I have a HDMI cable hooked between my Direct tv DVR receiver and my Samsung flat screen HD plasma tv. When I turn to Direct tv channels 100 or 200 the screen begins to flicker. My tv is 1080i. This is what...

If the TV just Flickers for a few Seconds then the Picture is Good and Stable, That is just the HDMI re-syncing often due to different signals from 480i to 1080i being broadcasted. If it continues to Flicker then check the options for Video set-up in your DTV menu. Make sure all available resolutions are checked to display or select AUTO if possible. TIP: NEVER Unplug or Plug in HDMI cables with the Power ON. This can Short out the HDMI Input leading to a Repair. Turn off All Units then plug in your cables, When ALL are in then hit the Powers.

Screen flickers for about 20-30 seconds sporadically

Try looking at the LCD screen at a sharp angle to see if ghost-like video can be seen during the 'off' time of the flicker.  If video is still present even though not that visible, then either the backlight or its power supply are failing. The color problem could also be caused by a backlight lamp that is not ionizing completely.

TV picture flickers

If your DVD player is separate from your tv, you might have a loose cable plug or connection. Depending on the type of flicker you have, a vertical circuit loose connection would cause this. If you could connect it to a cable or antenna it might tell you where the problem is located. A faulty circuit in the DVD might cause this too. Stargazer
