I am unable to turn on the TV..The power in the TC comes for a split sec and goes off....Best Buy says that there is no warranty on this...TV technician says that it is hard to fix...What to do?? Please help!
I am having the same problem. The television seems to be turning on and off by itself and it makes kind of a popping sound each time it turns on. It is a 36 or 37 inch television and I have had it for less than a year.

if there was a storm ,there is every possibility that there was a power surge that has fired parts of the circuit board
I suggest that you have it check at an electronic shop and get quotes for repairs.
These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Blinking codes details to many popular brand TVs are given. Surf the site with patience.
Insignia are a low-end Best Buy brand, and as such their reliability is poor.
If you're plugged in, the inputs are set correctly and the power comes on on the TV but you receive no picture, there is an issue with the TV itself.
Insignia offers a 2-year warranty, but you must have the original box and must be willing to pay for shipping. If you lack the original box or your purchase was longer than 30 days ago and you didn't purchase the extended warranty from Best Buy, you're most likely going to need a new TV, as they cost more to repair than they're worth.
Insignia is Best Buy's house brand. If it's still under warranty, contact Best Buy. If not, find an electronic repair shop you think you can trust and take it in. There is absolutely nothing you (unless you're an electronics technician) can do to fix it. I know that's not what you wanted to hear, but, that's the way life is now.
You should go to Insignia website and complain, about you problem either to their customer service department or sales department. Explain the problem to them and tell them that you thought you were covered by the warranty for any failure of the television not caused by you.Try to speak to people incharge of the departments if you can and keep calling asking to speak to the v.p.'s of sales.Tell them that best buy treated you badly and that you paid good money for the tv there, and they will not honor the service contract. Persistence is needed here. Hope this will help you with your problem.
i think your capacitor is blown, do a google search for insignia, lcd, capacitor...
you can buy another one for about $2 but its a pain to install, you can also instead buy a new powerboard for about $80, its an east install and you wont blow more capacitors

Insignia Polaroid Advent Audiovox ISLCDTV32 lcd Tries to start then Shuts down! Insignia IS-LCDTV32 , Polaroid FLM2601 andFLM3201, Advent 203L32K50B Also Audiovox FPE 3205 LC32K5. Cure:Replace the three 680uf at 35 volt caps at the top left of the power supply board.
I replaced the caps--about a buck each. The bad caps were swollen, and soldering in new caps wasn't hard to do. THANKS!!!
The tv has been dropped or banged around, you can try to get a degaussing coil and fix the colors, if you cant pull them back out than it would need a CRT/Picture tube...in other words the tv would not be worth anything.
