My magellan explorist 400 drivers are not compatible with windows 7. Where can i find a compatible driver?

Windows 7 has a windows xp mode that seems to work. I have been using a VMWare image with windows xp for cranky hardware like my explorist xl.

Go to http://www.magellangps.com/support/ punch in the serial number from your unit. It will take you to a page where you can download a software update.
Plug in the magellan and turn it on to connect it. Run the updater.
After this it will work.
