Google 404 that's an error What is 404?

A 404 error is an HTTP status code that means that the page you were trying to reach on a website couldn't be found on their server.
Technically, an Error 404 is a client-side error, implying that the error is your mistake, either because you typed the URL in wrong or the page has been moved or removed from the website and you should have known. Another possibility is if a website has moved a page or resource but did so without redirecting the old URL to the new one. When that happens, you'll receive a 404 error instead of being automatically routed to the new page.
Note: Microsoft IIS web servers sometimes give more specific information about the cause of 404 Not Found errors by suffixing a number after the 404 as in HTTP Error 404.3 - Not Found which means MIME type restriction.

Try another URL or check with the site your are trying to contact to see if they are still active. Hope this helps.

I keep on getting 404 error. URL \-7890*sfxd*0* how do I fix this

How To Fix the 404 Not Found Error

  1. Retry the web page by pressing F5, clicking the refresh/reload button, or trying the URL from the address bar again.

The 404 Not Found error might appear for several reasons even though no real issue exists, so sometimes a simple refresh will often load the page you were looking for.
  2. Check for errors in the URL. Often times the 404 Not Found error appears because the URL was typed wrong or the link that was clicked on points to the wrong URL.
  3. Move up one directory level at a time in the URL until you find something.

For example, if www.web.com/a/b/c.htm gave you the 404 Not Found error, move up to www.web.com/a/b/. If you get nothing here (or an error), move up towww.web.com/a/. This should lead you toward what you're looking for or at least confirm that it's no longer available.

Technically, an Error 404 is a client-side error, implying that the error is your mistake, either because you typed the URL in wrong or the page has been moved or removed from the website and you should have known.

No matter the reason for the 404 error, there is plenty you can do to try to get to that page you were after:

How To Fix the 404 Not Found Error

Retry the web page by clicking the refresh/reload button or trying the URL from the address bar again. The 404 Not Found error has been known to appear on occasion even if there is no real issue so a simple refresh will often load the page you were looking for.

Check for errors in the URL. Often times the 404 Not Found error appears because the URL was typed wrong or the link that was clicked on points to the wrong URL.

Move up one directory level at a time in the URL until you find something. For example, if www.w.com/a/b/c.htm gave you the 404 Not Found error, move up to www.w.com/a/b/. If you get nothing here, move up to www.w.com/a/. This should lead you toward what you're looking for or at least confirm that it's no longer available.

What is my code number?

If you're looking for your ID number, you will find it in the URL (website address) of your profile page.

1. Open your browser, or open a new tab.
2. Navigate to Facebook, either through a bookmark or typing in www.facebook.com
3. Login to your account.
4. Once you log in, click on "Profile" (in the case of the new Facebook layout) in the upper right corner. Older Facebook layouts, bring up your profile by clicking on "Profile" or "Home" then clicking on your username that appears in the upper left corner. This brings you to your profile page.
5. Once your profile page loads, look at the URL in the address bar of your browser. You will see something that looks like this or something similar to this: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/profile.php?id=XXXXXXXX
6. Take note of the following section of the URL address: "/profile.php?id=XXXXXXXX"
7. The "id=XXXXXXXX" is your ID Number. Your ID number may have more or fewer digits than the example provided.

Cant open facebook account has been disabled? which I opened up for my daughter

Hi,

Clear your cache and delete all of your cookies in your browser. In your browser, type in the address bar http://www.facebook.com/login (which doesnt exist). This will take you to a different login page which reads: "The page you requested was not found." At the top of this page is a login box. Try using this login box to login to facebook. If you are using the Adblock extension with Firefox, and subscribe to an ad list (basically a list of known ads online), it blocks a special site (fbcdn.net) that Facebook uses to login. Go to:http://www.facebook.com/login.php (the page you are having trouble logging in) and click on the Adblock Stop Sign on top of Firefox, and you will see in red a url that includes fbcdn.net. Right click on that, and add an exception for the entire fbcdn.net domain. Reload the page. This should fix the problem.
You can also use a Proxy Server to connect to Facebook.com. Search Proxy in GOOGLE,select Proxy Server and type in facebook.com (in the proxy server webpage). Finally now you can login into your facebook account.

Thank you!!

Unable to log into Facebook

The transfer to Google is caused by an error in the Facebook login you provide. The most likely cause is that the login you are using is incorrect. If you received a welcome e-mail from Facebook, copy the URL in the mail (CTRL-C) and paste it (CTRL-V) into your browser's address block.
