Question about Dell (0E828) for Latitude C610 Modem

1 Answer

Trying to connect internet and having problems.

Try to connect internet and having problems. My laptop was bought used and it is a Dell model PPO1L Latitude C610. It's a little bit of an older version. All I'm trying to do is get on the internet with it. It has a new hard drive on it. When I first recieved it, it had wireless capabilities and I had to replace the hard drive and now I have no idea how to connect to the internet. I have a wireless internet/modem and it doesn't give me the option to connect to that. When I go to internet options, it has LAN and a modem. I am so clueless if anyone could tell me how to connect to the internet with this computer, I would gladly appreciate it.

thanks,
Vanessa

Hi,
You have probably not installed the drivers required for the wireless adapter. Go to Dell website and search for your model's drivers. Look for wireless adapter drivers.
Please also check that your wireless adapter is on. Some laptops have a switch on the front side of the laptop to turn the wireless on or off. On other laptops is the combination of the Fn key and one of the F1-12 keys.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Ppo1l dell latitude laptop mouse pointer keeps moving to top right corner. doesn't stay stationery

Your mouse pad is probably damaged.

Try to boot a different OS like Linux and see the behavior.

if the problem persist, you can disable the touchpad and use external mouse instead.

Cant connect to the internet!!!

well first i can suggest trying to reinstall the drivers for the ethernet controller and the wireless card you are using. if that does not solve the problem, then are you subscribed to internet through cable, which is what your router connects to?
