My 2008 gsxr 600 has no power when I turn the key

Just got an 08 gsxr 600 a week ago. It's been sitting outside in my driveway (covered) in about 32 degree weather. Had it started one day. Then the next day when I tried to start it, I turned the key to the on position and nothing happened. There were no lights on the front, the rear, or the instrument panel. Could this be a discharged battery?

Could well be the battery has just gone flat starting the engine up and running it for a fuw minuets knocks more out the battery that you put in and batterys dont like cold weather any how if your going to leave the bike standing around not being driven go out and buy yourself a 12 volt 2.5watt solar charger hook this to the battery and it will keep the battery toped up even in dull weather,,,,i have them on my bikes all year round,cheap power!!!

08 gsxr turned off while idling and wouldn't turn back over

When the engine is idling, the alternator is not charging. Starting the bike will drain a weak battery. A fast idle (1000 rpm or so) will quickly recharge the battery. If the battery is dead and the alternator is not charging the bike will not run. Check the connections at the battery. Remove and clean them. Check the main fuse and all other fuses. (The temp indication may be a false reading due to other problems.)

Just purchased a 08 gsxr 600 and its getting water in oil.

that bike has a cracked cylinder heaeed or even a cracked block.
Water in Oil is the key sign of an abused bike.

underneath the tank is the airbox witch either has small screws or clips that need to come off but it should just come off

I need an exploded view of the rear axle on my 08 gsxr 600. So I can check to see if I have correct spacing. Worked fine for 2 weeks, then the caliper bracket started dragging against the rear rotor. I...

So much for laying everything out, carefully, so it all goes back together the same way. Have you asked the dealer? What did you do, replace the brake pucks? Spacers sometimes are trial and error just so drag is minimal. Just make sure that you use the same amount and thickness if there is more than one mounting point, so the caliper unit doesn't shift and go crooked.
