We are getting the same error message "Halting: error has occurred" 4th time in two days, Currently has only happened playing Thrillville Off the Rails, The error message is on a black screen with white text. The game console remains on with a green light, the cd is not ejected and the Wii remote is off.

It happened to mee too, and I was playing Thrillville: off the rails.
    Is the game the problem?

What else. I mean what does thr remote do, which lights are on on the console and remote, what colors, what else on screen, black screen, blue screen, or does it disply over the menu or game, etc. If a game, what game. Sorry if a little much, but nessesarry since the wii doesnt have any error codes like that, far as i know...

  • Are you able to play one type of Game Disc but not another (for example, you can play Wii Game Discs but not Nintendo GameCube Game Discs)? If so, then it is likely there is a problem with the Wii console and it will need to be repaired. Please click here for repair options.

  • Check the bottom of the Game Disc (the side without any labels or writing) for any dirt or damage (such as cracks, scratches, etc.).

    • If the games look significantly damaged, such as with scratches or cracks, it will need to be replaced. Please click here for our Game Disc replacement options.

    • If the game looks dirty (fingerprints, smudges), try cleaning the Game Discs by clicking here. If the problem persists, the Game Discs will need to be replaced. Please click here for our Game Disc replacement options.
If the above information does not solve your problem, then it appears there is a problem with the Wii console and it will need to be repaired. Please click here for repair options.

Why does the Wii U displays an error code... when the Wii U is not turning on... even though is not defective???

That is a unique error. Only Nintendo will be able to help you on this. That code can means software/hardware issues. But Nintendo can go through the process of resolving it. They will most likely wish for you to send it in. But if it works with a reset then that sound be fine.

My Wii says,"An error has occurred. Press the Eject button and remove the disc, then turn the Wii console off and refer to the Wii Operations Manual for help troubleshooting...I don't have a manua

You can most certainly connect more than one console to a single TV. I would recommend calling a professional service. I own a shop in Central GA. JuiceBox Gaming Systems 1-800-479-4620 give us a call, we will try our best free over the phone to get you going. It is much easier talking through a problem.

The wii won't read the disc

Situation:
  • System displays either error message "Unable to read disc" or "Disc could not be read"

What to do:
  • This message may display if the disc is ejected during play. Return to the HOME Menu before changing discs.

  • If the Wii console is laying flat, verify that the system is not placed upside-down. The game disc slot should be above all three buttons and the SD Card slot.

  • Verify that the disc is being inserted properly.
    • If the console is placed vertically, the disc label will face to the right. Note: Only Wii consoles with model number RVL-001 are intended to be placed vertically (learn more)

    • If the console is placed horizontally, the disc label will face upwards.
    insertdisccorrect.gif
  • If the problem occurs with only one game disc, there may be a problem specific to that game. Click here to check our list of specific game issues.

Situation Not Resolved:
  • If only one Game Disc displays this error message, it will need to be replaced. Click here for Game Disc replacement options

  • If the error is occurring with most or all Game Discs or all of one type of game, then this indicates a problem with the system. The console and one or two example discs will need to be sent in for repair. Click here to begin the repair process.

Every time we try to load the game, a Error comes up saying that the disc cannot be read, or that an error has occured, and to remove the game disc and turn the wii off.

The disc may be too scratched up for the console. Try to clean the Disc with a microfiber cloth (or something that won't scratch it) and use a dvd lens cleaner on it to remove smudges.
If the disc is in good condition, then the laser on the Wii may be wearing out. That means that you will have to send the Wii to Nintendo to get it fixed or find someone who has Wii parts and knows how to take apart and repair a Wii.

My wii says an error has occurred and its say take the disk out and turn the power off but still will not work.

If you keep getting the error below with all games

"An error has occurred. Press the Eject Button and remove the disc, then turn the Wii console off and refer to the Wii operations Manual for help troubleshooting."

You need to replace the laser in your Wii. You can find them online and you shouldn't pay more than $50.00
