Have a 2GB drive, properties says 67.0MB used and 1.79GB free, but I cannot put anymore files on it. Get msg "Cannot copy file:The directory or file cannot be created." Seems that I cannot put more than 170 files on the drive... same result on 2 different Flash drives.

I would try and reformat the flash drive using Control Panel/Windows Administrative Tools/Computer Management/Disk Management.

I just took so many photos with my Nikon camera . when i join memory card with my computer, it shows it's empty but its properties show that 800 MB has been used and 1.10 GB is free as mine is 2GB. Can...

When you put the card into your camera did you format it? If you didn't format the card the camera might not be saving the photos using the proper file types, hence the computer not recognizing them? Try going into the cameras menu and formatting the card and give it another shot.

My pen drive is of 2GB i dont know how but now it showing 1.50GB as used space and only 500mb odd free space and its completely empty,there is no data inside plz solve my problem

Insert the USB stick in your computer, then go to "Start" then "My Computer", locate the USB icon and right click and select "Properties". From there you can do a format of the stick. This will erase all the data including some hidden files that you might have and solve the problem.

Note that even though it says 2Gb, the data you can use is slightly less. This is true for any storage device out there.

I bought a 2gb to store my photos it coplied

Found these two solutions online, that worked for others. Hope it helps:
BEFORE YOU DO EITHER OF THESE: Copy all the data on the microSD card to a reliable media.

==========Solution #1==============
First manually create a folder on the microSD drive. Move files/folders from the root into this folder.
Apparently you can only have a limited number of files in the root directory of this and similar solid state memory devices, including SD cards, USB Flash drives, etc.

==========Solution #2==============
Some suggest that if the drive is formatted with the NTFS file system that you should reformat the drive to the FAT32 file system. I would do this only if Solution #1 does not work or the problem reoccurs.

(1) Open Windows Explorer, right click the drive and select Format from the menu.
(2) In the Format dialog, select the drop down menu in 'File System' and select the FAT32 option.
(3) Click the [Start] button.
(4) Exit the format dialog once complete.
(5) Restore your documents
