Kenmore elite quiet pak 9 Runs but would only heat for about 10 SECONDS then heat would go away but continue running until cycle is done.

The heat coming on for 10 seconds is probably just the pilots trying to light the burner. It sounds a lot like the gas coils (solenoids) are bad.

I have a Kenmore elite quiet pak 2 and the heat won't come on. It's natural gas

Check your igniter *to see if it glows bright & hot, set on heated dry cycle & start, if not replace it, if it does, you should hear a loud CLICK, before igniter times out, if not, replace the valve coils (donut shaped, slides over a post on top of valve) *observe thru access panel at bottom right front of dryer.

FAN ON COMPRESSOR SHUTS OFF

The loud buzzing noise if you have heat pump. May be comming from your reversing valve. To quiet this down. Turn off power to outside unit and squirt some oil into the reversing valve coil area. The coil slides onto a shaft this shaft has corroded a liitle and does not let the valve center itself. Alittle oil on the shaft help and quiets this down. DO REMOVE THE COIL WITH THE INSIDE AIR HANDLER POWER ON IF YOU HAVE POWER TO THE THE COIL AND REMOVE IT IT WILL BURN IT UP. yOU CAN JUST UNPLUG THE COIL IF YOU LIKE. RUSS

Electric dryer heat coil off mid cycle

You have 3 thermostats. By the description of the problem it sounds like it needs a new high limit thermostat. All 3 thermostats and the heating coil can be checked with an ohm meter. Also check the ground on the heating coil. It could be grounding it's self out.

Gas dryer makes loud hum

Sounds like you may have a motor issue, they can get lint trapped inside, and it causes the motor to overheat, and eventually go out. You can remove the top, then the front, and see if thats the problem. Usually, once the motor starts making noise, its time to replace. Right now, the packings in the motor are cold, and once they heat up, they stop making noise, so it could last quite a while.
