If it spins and drains after the wash cycle, but not after the rinse cycle, it's the timer, if it never drains start by checking the pump drive belt, BE SURE THE WASHER IS UNPLUGED BEFORE DOING ANYTHING. It's the one that runs across the front of the washer just behind the front cover, it (the cover) can be removed with the two phillips head screws near the bottom of the cover. The belt should be snug but not tight, with gentle finger pressure at the middle of the belt you should be able to squeeze it untill it allmost touches, there should be about a 1/2" gap.
While you have it open look at the pump, If the washer is filled with water before putting in the clothes it will then be over filled and small items can go over the top of the inner drum and plug the pump.

It will not drain the water on the rinse cycle

If your washer does not drain you need to check this parts.
  1. Inspect the drain hose for kinks
  2. Test the timer control
  3. Test the lid switch(some models)
  4. Inspect the water pump
  5. Inspect the drive belt(belt drive only)
  6. Inspect the motor coupler
If the drain hose reaches more than about 4 inches into the laundry tub, cut off the excess. If your drain hose is lower than the washer's cabinet, install an air gap/siphon break assembly.

Drain washer pump for winter

Turn off the water at the cold and hot taps. Disconnect the hoses from the taps and the washer and drain them. Lay the drain hose flat on the floor to drain it to a container. With the hoses disconnected and the drain hose flat, start the fill cycle (set to WARM) briefly (15 seconds) to open the inlet solenoid valves and allow water to drain from them. Start the rinse cycle to pump any residual water out of the tub and drain (15 seconds).
OR
Turn off water and disconnect inlet hoses as described above. Pour 1 gallon of RV anti-freeze (for potable water systems) into the tub. Start the rinse cycle just enough to start the drain so antifreeze goes through pump and into drain hose. Before using the washer again, run a small rinse through to flush out the anti-freeze.

Doesn't drain; glasses have film; rinses with used, soapy water

The white film problem is hard water. There is a new product out called the dishwasher filtration system. It filters the water before it enters your dishwasher. It works amazing and has a money back guarantee. You will love the way your dishes look after the first load. It is also very affordable (like 70 bucks). Go to www.dishwasherfilter.com to find out more info.

High speed drum rinse ..drum not spinning during rinse cycle

Clean out coin collector thoroughly. Replace drain pump if necessary. Water will drain if you can place drain hose on floor and let water siphon out.

Water will not stay filled in tub on rinse cycle

It sounds like a siphon issue.
Check that the drain hose does a high loop before it goes into the drain pipe. (ie. drain hose loops above the water level inside the tub). Make sure the drain hose is not pushed too far down into the drain pipe. Also if the drain hose is sealed to the drain pipe this will create an airlock and a siphon will occur, allow air to enter between drain hose and drain pipe connection.
This should help you but if there is still a problem let me know and I'll try to assist you further.
Good luck!

Whirlpool Washer - Imperial Series Quiet Wash 2

your washers drain hose is too far down the drain pipe which is causing a siphoning action pull the washers drain hose out pipe some you should be able to hear water dropping into the pipe the reason it only happens in the rinse cycle is because the water from wash is being drained and before the water vacuum is broken the rinse water comes in causing it to keep draining
