Did you use Epson Genuine Cartridges?

ALL…. Epson & Brother Requires Genuine Epson Cartridges. !!!!!!!!
That sounds like your problem.

In Purchasing Epson's CX 5400, CX4600, & CX7400 and more, I found out that Epson does not like Generic Printer Cartridges. I also Purchased a Brother. That also does not like Generic Print Cartridges. Color that should be Yellow, will turn out Green, Blue Brown, etc.

These printers have a CHIP that will detect if it is Generic or Genuine. When they see it’s Generic Cartridges, it will print lines thru the words, stripes across the picture and also do a mix match with the colors. It also will not let you print anything, if only one of the cartridges is empty.

I wanted to print only Black, and would not let me, because I did not have any ink in one of my cyan cartridges. Go figure.

That's what these Companies do., so they can keep selling the ink cartridges. Some Printers, are able to use Generic, and some are refillable. Some you can refill them up yourself and I heard, quite MESSY.

So I learned, thru trial and error, that you must use the ORIGINAL Genuine Cartridges for these PRINTERS. Some people say some models work fine compatible, but not mine.......

I had to replace the printer, but Epson, Lexmark & Brothers are always on sale. My Brother & Epson cost me $50.00 with Rebate. .

This is the only advice I can give you. If you find this helpful, pls rate me.

Thanks and Good Luck :0)

Why is my Canon PIXMA MG6220 skipping lines when it is printing?

Assuming that you aren't running out of ink, it probably needs either a good print head cleaning (beyond that the software does) or a print head replacement, if you model had replaceable print heads. My experience with Canon printers has been mixed, but some of them have replaceable print heads and some don't. Make sure you're not running out if ink before you proceed with the following.

You could try this first:

1. Get some distilled water.
2. Remove the print head and remove the ink tanks.
3. Get a shallow cup or dish and put the print head in it.
4.Add distilled water to just barely immerse the print head only.
5. Add several drops of the distilled water to the "inside" part of the print head in each color section.
6. Leave for several hours or overnight.
7. Remove the print head and discard the water, clean your cup or dish. If the print head is fixed and not removable, go to step 14.
8. CAREFULLY blot, do not rub, the bottom of the print head.
9. Run the "deep clean" print head cleaning cycle once.
10. Run the test print or nozzle check to see if it is now printing without white bars (skipping parts of the lines.
11. If this works, then do your print head alignment.
12. If this doesn't work, you might look into buying a special print head cleaning kit that has a syringe, a tube (or tubing), and an adapter or two in order to allow you to inject the special cleaning solution into and through the print head, doing whatever the directions tell you to do.
13. If that doesn't work, then see if you can buy a replacement print head.
14.If you weren't able to remove the print head for cleaning, then it may be time to consider it not worth the trouble and replacing it with another printer. I like the Brother brand of inkjet printers since they use much less ink during the cleaning cycle and some of the models have optional high-capacity ink tanks.

To avoid this happening in the future, make sure you use your printer at least every few days. Print something that has every color in it so that it keeps each part of the print head from drying out. Keep in mind that every time your printer runs a cleaning cycle, you use up quite a bit of ink for most brands of printers, so if you replace your printer, consider a Brother printer. It's not that Canon makes all bad inkjet printers. They've had some that were apparently problematic in the past (like the BJC-6000, which I went through 3 of those before the warranty expired), but they use a lot of ink when they run their print head cleaning cycle whenever the firmware determines that it needs to run the cycle.

If you are successful in getting the printer to print lines without missing bands of color, then keep the printer by all means. Consider getting some generic replacement ink tanks so that you can afford to run the printer every few days. Many printers are sold at a very low price because the company expects to make more money on replacement ink tanks. The lowest priced ones seem to use more ink, too.

Also, if you don't need color printing, consider a black and white laser printer. Before buying, check the price of the consumables -- toner at the very least, and if there are any replaceable parts other than the toner cartridge, find out how long those are supposed to last before replacement and how much they cost. Your first toner cartridge might be a "starter cartridge" which may not even be half full of toner, so buy a spare toner cartridge when you buy the laser printer. Some brands have a rather high cost per page because the replacement toner cartridges cost a lot.

Printer leaves line on document when printing and scanning

On these printers, thats usually a blank line. You can try to clean the print heads but it usually means a replacement print head is needed.

The black cartridge leaves blank lines while printing

This usually really means that you have clogged ink inside the delivery tube for the black ink flow to the inkjets. VERY Hard to repair, but since you still have ink flowing, switch to blk ink printing such as lots of text, and keep printing it out to see if it will clear out the dried ink in the micro tips. You can't change out the printer roller in this unit. I know, that frustrates me too! This may take a bit of time to do!! Also make sure your printer blk is up to date with new computer 'read' tabs, if not it can create read problems in the system. If you refill inks at a store, which of course is cheaper, make sure they also install the reader tab on the ink block.
Hope this helps!

Stylus Photo 820 printing magenta lines

did you clean the communication ports , where the cartridges "talk" to the printer, the ports can get covered with paper dust and erronus signals can cause the printer to activate the magenta cartridge causing your problem. reomve the cartridges and Gently clean the comm ports with a q-tip and rubbing alcohol let dry then reinstall the ink cartridges.

Very Faint Printouts

I find the best way to clean the heads is buy some cleaning cartridges as they have cleaning fluid in them and use them to clean it will take about 10 or more times to clean the heads then put the color ones back in and try again.
Just keep putting it on clean the head don't do a print out till at lest you have cleaned 10 or more times.

Printing on the same line after a few pages printed

I first oiled the bar once more and while the printer was off, moved the head across the bar forcefully several times until it felt the ease to move. I then typed a document with numbers 1 to 10 each number typed two lines below the other and tried printing this document several times. This worked perfectly and the printer is now in order.

HP 7110 still won't print in color

Your post "...it prints very faint horizontal lines in color..." is indicative that indeed your color printheads are clogged and would need repetitive deep head cleaning. This is of course would require that you keep on cleaning until such time as the faint color lines have turned to legible print.

Epson CX6600 printer error

Remove the Print ink cartriges. Get a new bottle of windex and using a eye dropper place some windex on the post where the ink sits. also place some windex on the area that the printer uses to clean the print heads. leave it for an hour or two, You might have to do this several times. If problem persists do above treatment and leave over night. Hope this helps.
