When it was time for the spinning of the rinse cycle my machine just quit, no power, nothing. I checked the electrical connect, it's fine. It just seems that there is no power because it doesn't hum or anything. Thanking you, PJO

I do not know why you would which to remove the motor. I do not recommend it. The motor is connected to a transmission in the front of the mixer and was most likely pressed in to place by a machine into a baring in the back of the transmission. As far as I can tell the only user serviceable parts are in the back. Primarily the bushings and the back service cover.

To remove the windings you will need a puller. You might be able to find one at your local auto parts store, or one of the stores that specializes in tools such as Harbor Fright, Northern Tool or something like that. Once you remove the back cover you should see the armature, simply attache the puller to the shaft and extract it. If you are lucky you will be able to reinsert it in the opposite order. However, there is a chance that parts of the transmission will fall out of place making it difficult to reassemble.

I am pretty sure you can disassemble it, but putting it back together will be much more challenging.

If you are having trouble with a switch or the bushings I would call Kitchen Aid first. Help Contact Us KitchenAid

Kenmore Washer model # 11082692120 is Leaking as it is filling the tub with water. It is leaking at the base of the machine on both sides and in the front bottom. it was gradual at first now it is leaking...

The leak is likely coming from a broken drain pump or detached pressure hose. Remove the machine cabinet to access and look at these areas.

Unplug the machine then release the console from the top of the cabinet. Remove the screws securing the console then pull forward and up and lay it back on the hinges.

Where is the water pump located on the Whirlpool top load washer mod LSR6332KQQO

There's only one pump in this machine and it is the drain pump which is located under the tub and directly coupled to the rear spline of the drive motor. It can be accessed by removing the console then the cabinet.

Start with the removal of the screws securing the console to the rear of the machine as shown. Pull forward and up on the console and lay it back on the hinges.

Bring the cabinet to the front of the washer then slide the front bottom rail of the cabinet under the rail at the base of the machine then lay down the cabinet into position. Make sure the slots in the cabinet sit into the tabs at the base of machine.

Reconnect the lid switch harness then push the retaining clips back down into position to secure the cabinet to the rear of the machine. Reinstall and secure the console to complete the repair.

Kitchen Aid Washer- fills ok (water level-ok), but will not agitate or spin, drains ok, and control timer advances ok. Please help? Where do I begin troubleshooting?

This is a clear evidence of a broken motor coupler. The mechanical output of the motor is not transferred to the transmission and therefore result in the agitator not to agitate and the drum not to spin. It drains because the drain pump is directly coupled to the rear spline of the motor. Replace the motor coupler to address the problem.

Release the console from the top of the cabinet depending on the model of your machine then pull forward and up on the console and lay it back on the hinges.

2870fd6.jpg

Once the coupler parts are properly installed, put the rubber grommet into the coupler in the motor then line up the remaining slots on the grommet with the coupler prongs in the transmission and put them together.

Secure the motor with the clips and the clips with the screws then reconnect the motor wiring harness to the motor terminals and reinstall the pump.

Have LG 1812 front load washer, it is making noise when water tries to drain out, we were able to drain the hose but unable to remove the drain pump filter-just spins

Unscrew the drain pump filter counterclockwise to remove it from the pump assembly. If it cannot be removed, you need to replace the pump casing (part #3108ER1001B) and the pump filter (part #383EER2001A).

Disconnect power to the washer prior to servicing to avoid the risk of electric shock.

Remove the two screws at the rear of the top panel attaching it to the cabinet. Slide the panel rearward then lift it off the washer.

Disconnect the control panel wiring harness from the main board assembly. Pull the dispenser drawer out until it stops then press the locking tab and pull the drawer out completely.

Remove the two screws from the drawer opening then lift the left side of the console and pull it off the cabinet.

Remove the three screws from the upper part of the front panel and the screw from the filter cover.

Insert a putty knife blade or similar flat tool in both sides of the filter cover then pull it out of the cabinet. Remove the screw from the lower side of the front panel.

Open the washer door and remove the wire and spring holding the door gasket to the outer lip of the door opening. Stretch the spring with a pair of needle-nose pliers to clear the wire off the lip of the door opening then remove the wire and spring assembly.

Peel off the door gasket into the drum then tilt the front panel and disconnect the door switch wiring harness from the door switch terminals. Lift the front panel and remove it from the cabinet.

Compress the spring clamps holding the pump inlet and outlet hoses then move the clamps away from the pump casing.

Remove the two screws securing the pump to the base of the washer. Press down the tab at the back of the pump assembly and push the assembly into the washer then lift the pump assembly up and out of the washer. Remove the hoses from the pump assembly.

Unscrew the pump from the casing and inspect the impeller for any damage. Rotate the impeller to check whether there's restriction. Replace the pump (part #4681EA2001D) if the impeller is broken or does not rotate freely.

Install the pump assembly and reassemble the washer by reversing the given disassembly steps.

Washer fills w/water but wont ageitate

Does the motor turn? if it does, you may need to replace the coupling between the motor and the transmission. This is pretty simple.

Remove the two screws on the head at each side, flip head back.
There are two clips on both sides. Note how they attach the cabinet to the back for replacement at reassembly time. Use screwdriver to pry these out, then pull cabinet off.
In front of the machine, you will see pump and motor assembly. Pry the clips off the pump, pull the pump straight off, then same with motor. You will see a three pronged connection there on the motor and the transmission. When you buy a replacement coupling (don't buy ahead of time in case this isn't it) it will come with replacements in case these are broken. Replace coupling assy and replace motor, pump and cabinet. Rescrew head, and this should solve your trouble.

Best luck
Joe

How do I replace the water intake valve on my whirlpool top loader.

Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid, Kenmore, Roper, Estate, after 1985
• The valve will be mounted to the back of the washer with two screws. However, you must remove the valve from inside the washing machine, and this requires you remove the entire washer cabinet, which consists of the top, front and sides.
• Remove the two screws in the lower corners of the control panel.
• Lift the control panel up high enough so it stays up and back.
• Disconnect the wire harness connector.
• Using a flathead screwdriver, snap out the two gold-colored spring clips at the top of the cabinet on the left and right sides.
• The cabinet will now lift up at the back. Pull the cabinet up 10-12 inches and then slide it forward 2 inches.
• Remove the cabinet completely and set it aside.
• The valve will be on the right side of the washer at the back. It’s the device to which the water fill hoses are attached.
• Label the wires from the valve and remove them.
• Remove the water feed tube(s) from the valve.
• Remove the screws holding the valve to the back panel.
• Install the new valve in the reverse order.
• Reinstall the cabinet. (Note: As you follow this procedure, do not force the cabinet in any way. When done properly, the cabinet will go back together very smoothly.) First, tilt the cabinet toward you 10-12 inches while you “walk” the cabinet back onto the lower frame of the washer. (This will be easier if you have the washer lid open so you can see inside the cabinet at the same time.) The front edge of the cabinet slides underneath the base frame, and the sides of the cabinet rest on top of the base frame.
• When the cabinet is resting on the frame squarely, check to be sure the back of the washer is aligned with the cabinet. There are two plastic strips attached to the back of the washer that must line up with the sides of the cabinet as you set the cabinet down.
• Reinstall the two spring clips at the top.
• Reattach the wire harness connector.
• Rotate the control panel back down and reinstall the two screws.
• Flush out the water fill hoses.
• Reattach the water lines.
• Turn on the water.
• Check for and correct any leaks.
• Restore power and test.
Hope this helped you and best wishes.

Need help to remove water pump on a kitchen aid washing machine kaws777

Hello Friend, It's easy to replace the pump on your machine. First, remove the two screws that hold control panel in place and tilt back exposing the two metal clips that hold the cabinet in place. You will see some wires plugged into the cabinet, just unplug them. There are two clips, one on each side. Just pop these clips off and lift cabinet slightly from back and tilt forward. At this point you will be able to completely remove the cabinet. Once you have cabinet removed just set it aside. Now, you can easily remove the pump by snapping off the two spring clips. The pump will slide right off the motor shaft. Happy to help, Tim.

I need to replace the pump on Kitchenaid clothes dryer

Removing the cabinet. UNPLUG the washer. There are two screws holding the control panel to the cabinet. Most models the screw are in front but, some models have the screws in back. They are on each end. Now raise the control panel up and let it rest on the hinges. Unplug the lid switch harness and locate the clips on each side (bronze in color) and release them.
Now the cabinet will lift off the frame and you can set it aside.
I hope this helps. Please let me knwo if I can assist you further.

Motor coupling

Pull the front cabinet off. The pump and motor need to be removed. The pump need not be completely removed, just push aside. Both the pump and motor are held on by simple snap clips.

The coupling must be carefully aligned when reinstalled. Be careful that the coupling pins line up when the motor is reinstalled.
