SOURCE: reading but DVD is not spinning in portable dvd player

Some suggestions assuming you know you're using good discs, and have this problem with more then 1 disc. In anything that requires you to open the player and play around in it, I also assume you're not too akward with electronics, and out of warranty: spindle motor problems - you could either fix that by changing the motor, or occasionaly by dropping a little bit of 3 in 1 oil on the shaft. Just dont start it as a hobby if you can still go complain at the store... Good luck

The battery died. Can I purchase a new one can I use my portable dvd player without a battery?

hello,

you can purchase a new battery from an electronic shop close to you.

try to charge the battery for a while, then test it if it will work without being plugged to a power supply.

you can also use you audiovox PV33116 player without the battery, but you should take note that as soon as the power supply goes off, the player goes off too.

so it is advisable for you to get a new battery.

take care.

DVD player lost charging power/only works with adapter plugged in

If you had the player for quite some time it could be the battery. The batteries eventually get weaker and weaker and go. Like laptop. Did you notice less usage time after you charged it when it worked? If it isnt that old it could be an internal problem you may have to get checked out by manufacturer, also check if its still under warranty.

Portable dvd player's battery is not charging at all while the orange indicator light is blinking while connected and it didn't blink before.

The battery is bad and is not repairable. You can find parts for this player including the battery on e-bay at with web address. (http://catalog.ebay.com/Mintek-MDP-1815-Portable-DVD-Player_W0QQ_fclsZ1QQ_pcatidZQQ_pidZ55062847QQ_tabZ2) copy this web address and paste it into to your browsers address bar, it will take you to a page of this model dvd player for sale. This units are either in parts or whole units. This is the best chance to get a replacement battery at a reasonable price. I hope this information helps you with your problem.

Portable dvd player Film's stop and go back to loading screen

Not sure it's a solution, per se, but I discovered that my Matsui was acting as if I was opening and closing it, so I guessed that it was the lid. Once I put a paperweight on the "Press to Open" part of the lid, the DVD played through. I'm looking how to fix the lid but that's a workaround for now. Best of Luck - M
