The volume wont go down please help.

I have the same issue on my SONY WEGA KV-20FS12.
Volume starts at zero when TV then increases til max. Because of it, no other functions work because it appears the volume is "stuck" and apparently, you can't press CHANNEL or anything while volume is depressed. Does this appear to be an issue with the "tact switch" as mentioned in this post? If so, where is this "tact switch" in the TV?
    Thanks,

Replace the tact switchs, BEFORE thinking processor. They are about $2 a piece available www.irionstvshop.com To verify if it is the switch's unsolder them carefully remove them and try the remote to operate set, If it works correctly then that is your problem. If not ,Then suspect eeprom and or processor.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

The buttons on top of mt tv go crazy the flip channels automatically and turn volume up and down automatically

I have had this problem on this same model (F32650) and I discovered that what is happening is that dust and debris are causing the microswitches in the panel to short, therefore the channel starts changing and wont stop or the volume changes etc...
Get some electronic switch cleaner and (with the power off of course!) spray into the crevaces around each button and press each button a few times and then power the unit back on and it should be fine.

Can't get set top box remote to recognize TV

There are usually generic codes listed behind the rest, try those, or there is usually a code search function, try that, otherwise please let us/me know if you are using DirectTv or what kind of set top box.
Hope this helps

Toshiba (Model : 36A43) - volume goes down automatically

I am having same problem on 32 inch same problem. After playing with board with no results,I tried front buttons and found that if I held the power button in ever so slighItly as not to turn it off, it fixed problem which is the micro on/off switch, I removed the switch and used the remote and everything is back to normal, I am about to insall a used micro switch after I finish typing this but I am sure this will clear up volume problen and menu going crazy problem if not I will just leave micro switch out and use the remote, and I will get back to this board only if that micro switch still causes the problem, so if I don't post in next hour the problem is fixed and I'm more than glad to help.
