Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

I have a 50'' Pioneer plasma T.V. and can't seem to find a place to plug in an HDMI cable, can you help. Model no. is: PDP 507CMX. The T.V. has the following plug-ins: one that says RS232C; one that says Analog RGB out (D sub); one that says Analog RGB in (D sub) imput 1; and one that says Digital RGB (DV1-D) Imput 2. none of these appear to be the proper receptacle for the HDMI cable. The satellite installer plugged in 5 coax cables (rather than an HDMI cable). I want to be able to use an HDMI cable so that I get true high definition,

An older television might have DVI instead of HDMI. the difference is that HDMI also carries sound while DVI does only video. You may need a converter box or another converter cable.

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

Can't seem to get the av and hdmi inputs to work ?n my pioneer pdp 507xd plasma

Make sure the cable is plugged into input 5 if your tv is on input 5. Make sure that you don't need to be on the AV input. I suggest using a hdmi cable also to bring the resolution up to 1080p. Make sure the wire isn't shorted also.

I have no sound through my surround sound when playing ps3

The optical audio out from the TV only works for the TV's tuner, probably. Hook-up optical from Cable/SAT and from PS3 boxes to DVD/Receiver.

Plasma media reciever problems!

Depending on how badly do you want it?First, call 1-800-pioneer and see if they have any left?
I would put a "wanted" ad on Craigslist and see if there is any owner of the TV(could be either the 50" and 43" monitors.)out there do have a damage or malfunction of this commercial Plasma TV that they don't want to fix,but the media box is still good!
Lastly, you would need to order it out of U.S. UK or Japan of Pioneer division will be my best bet.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.
