Question about Kodak Office Equipment & Supplies

2 Answers

I have a Kodak ESP-7 that I love. It is 1 year old and just recently it has started giving me problems. In order to get it to print with the black ink, I have to clean the print heads EVERY time I print. I have tried a new cartridge and I have done every other maintenance thing on the menu. Please help!

Take some rubbing alcohol and put some on a q-tip, squeeze out excess
and clean the area where the cartridge sits in , then a new q-tip until it is clean, that is the q-tip I mean, then wipe the bottom side where the head
meet the paper. If this does not solve the problem, go to there website and see how much for the head assembly, or if your still under warranty.

Figure the cost difference between fixing or getting new one.
Good luck, hope you get it working.

This maybe because of the printer settings or the ink cartridges may not be inserted properly.

Hope this helps!

Kodak camera problem when I take a picture sometimes a persons lips are black. Only one person?

I might have suggested the face detection calibration might be out, but 7 years ago I don't think such technology was available...let alone on a Kodak Easyshare.
In order to ascertain why this 'phenomena' is occuring, you can try 1. disabling red-eye reduction,
2. adjusting distance between you and subject,
3. check lens hasn't got a small scratch or dirt on it. Especially if the black lips occur on images about the same proximity of the frame.

Other than those tips, it's quite hard to know what's going on. If you had a link to a photo perhaps it might help diagnose your problem. I won't say "your camera's just old..." because I still own 10 year old systems which are working fine.

How do I change printer settings on a kodak esp 7 so it prints in black only

To change the printer settings, it is easier to use the software that was installed when you first set up the printer. The software is rather easy to navigate so there shouldn't be any problems. I have one of these particular printers that I purchased recently and am still becoming familiar with all of the settings and functions but I have still found that I can accomplish all that I need to by using the installed software. Hope that this helps.

Kodak 5100 won't print with Windows 7.

I've had the same problem for some time, but recently found a fix. Those sneaky folks at Kodak updated their Vista driver for the ESP series, and it works with Windows 7 now. Oddly enough they haven't advertised this fact, but it works none-the-less. Now, you're going to have to uninstall the Kodak Home Center, the driver and anything else associated with Kodak. You need to manually go through the Program Folder and delete anything Kodak. Make sure you set explorer to show hidden files/directories, and go to Program Data and delete any thing Kodak. Finally go to users appdata and delete anything Kodak in all the sub folders there. Then download and install the new May 1 drivers from the Kodak site:

Note: They are the Windows Vista drivers, but they do work on my Windows 7 machine.

You'll also notice that they've updated their installer program.

Hope this works for you, and if it does spread the word!
