Which brand ? How long has it sat ? If it has sat for very long I would dump gas out into proper container, get a new spark plug, fill back up with fresh gas, mixed properly, and try again.
I always add a little SEA FOAM into the tank.

Gas grill was washed now it won't light

Regulator. Tanks were non burped... Regulator stuck. Turn off tank slow. disconnect. Turn burners on. Tap the regulator with a piece of metal. Turn burners off. Connect tank. Since it was washed out electric starter dont work. Turn burners on. Then you will hear it. Gas. Take lighter and start. Big startup. The hair on your hand burned off wash your hands. Then get the meats! Easy as Cake

I put premium gas in my 07 sportster. It was hard starting for a couple of days, now it won't start at all. I drained the premium and put unleaded in but it won't stay started.

Your premium probably had ether or alcohol in it, which acted as a solvent for all the old gas gunk in the tank and lines, and gummed up the carb. You'll likely have to finish flushing the tank and lines, and rebuild the carb to clear the gunk.

Thank the gubmint while you're doing all this extra work.

The mower started. then just quit like ran out of gas. we blew thru the gas line going into the tank. then cleaned out filter. it won't start. at first it wouldn't even drain any gas out but we...

If the gas won't even drain from the tank, try removing the gas cap. It has vent holes and if this is plugged, the vacuum won't let the gas drain. If that is the case, clear the holes.
