Most refractors will not come to focus without the use of the star diagonal or a drawtube extension tube. HTH, Geo.

Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the scope-- take it outside during the day time and practice focusing on a distant object several blocks away or further.

You need to learn the night sky. Join a local astronomy club and the members will help you.

If your scope is on an equatorial mount. The mount must first be polar aligned in order to use it.

Ihave bought Nextstar SE4. I aligns and moves but i cant seeanything from the eyepiece. In day light i can see brightwite background but no image. Please help

Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser. This is your lowest magnification.

During the day time point the scope at a distant object and practice focusing -- you may need to turn the focus knob several times right or left to achieve focus.

It will focus if you turn the knob enough.

How do i get look at the stars and the moon because i cant see anything?

We receive many complaints on these scopes. Some of them cannot be focused.

However put rge eyepiece with the largest number writeen on it into the diagonal. Practice focusing on a distant object during the day time. Turn the focus knob slowly.

I cant get an image or focus

Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser. DO NOT USE the 2 x barlow if you have one. Go outside during the day time and practice focusing on a distant object, by turning the knob on the focuser in both directions until you see a sharp image.

I culmated my telescope and cant' get it to focus in. Using the focuser the image stays one big blob without any distinguishing figures.

Did you put an EYEPIECE into the focuser? Probably NOT.

Take the scope out in the day time, put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser. Practice focusing on a distant object. TURN the focuser knob slowly until the object comes into sharp focus.

I cant figure out how to work it or focus it also i cant see anything through it

During the daytime go outside and practice focusing on a distant object. Put the eyepiece with the LARGEST number written on it into the telescope. DO NOT use the 2x barlow if you have one.

The moon should be your first target at night.

Cannot focus a Meade Refractor "Electronic Digital" series

All of Meade's manuals are listed here--
http://www.meade.com/manuals/index.html

Take it outside during the day time-- put the eyepiece with the LARGEST number written on it into the telescope--- this is the LOWEST magnification.

Point it at a distant object and practice focusing-- the moon should be your first night time object.

Etx cant focus

The LPI camera will HIGHLY magnify the image-- about like a 6mm -8mm eyepiece-- tiny adjustments are needed to focus. You can buy a .5 or .3 focal reducer which will widen the field of view and make it easier to focus--

On my LX90 --- it takes about 20 TURNS of the focus knob to go between the eyepiece view and the camera view!
