This is probably a video sync module or Integrated Circuit for Video and picture and it has become loose at the solder joints at the Heat sink ( the finned rectangle).
Your TV needs to be serviced by a qualified tech to secure this device on the main board. The contacts or solder joints at the placement area are cracked or broken.

88 ford van heater won't work. blower motor is good. switch is good. fuse is good. I need to know where the fusible link is?

chances are that the blower resitor is faulty. Look for a square panel about 2in by 4in with a plug on it.located on blower housing, when removed you will see 3 metal springs and 1 resistor. I think to check it with ohm meter on each side of spring and resistor. current should flow both ways I think.Part is cheap and easy to replace

I have a Dell Dimension e521. My computer will not turn on at all. No power whatsoever. I took the side panels off and it was extremely dirty. A lesson is learned from this , I know. I am pretty sure there...

Buy a can, or two, of compressed air and blow out all vents, fan blades, anywhere that you see dust accumulation inside of the PC. When cleaning the fan blades, it's best that you just use an old toothbrush to remove the dust manually, because it tends to cling firmly on those particular parts.

Also, be sure to focus air around the vents of the power supply unit (PSU, power box). This is the box that powers your PC. Hopefully, this small task will be just the thing to breathe new air into your PC. :)

Hope this helps. :)

I set cam and crank timing but no comp. No bent valves! Note, #1 piston no at mark. Is one toth off.

I have run into this before . Volvo wants you to buy a special tool to properly set these cam's in time since the cam-drive pulleys are oil advanced . That's fine if you have up to $300.00 for the tool . I made 1 for under $20.00 . Here's How - Buy a 2in. by 7in. by 1/4in. piece of flat steel . 1 - Measure & mark 2in from each end (Length wise) . 2 - Measure & mark from the previous marks 3/4 in. towards center (Width Wise) . 3 - cut out space between marks (Finished product will look like a flat horse-shoe) . 4 - Put (flat horse-shoe) in a vise length wise (TABS UP) . 5 - bend each tab 1/8in.out from straight in line oposite directions (When done if you look straight down the lenght of the tool the tabs will make it apear the 1/4in piece of metal twice as thick)(1/2in.) 6 - Pull valve cover and look at the fire-wall side of the cam-shafts 1 side will be small half moon up(slots in cam will give the apearence of a small & large half moon) 1 small up and the other cam small half moon down . 7 - slightly turn the cams left or right to be able to fit tool in slots . 8 - With tool in place re-install cam-drive belt w/# 1 piston at TDC . 9 - adjust tensioner with very little tension against belt ( grab belt w/ tensioner tight above and below tensioner you should only be able to twist belt no more tha 1/2in. either way ) Bolt her down put her back together ( remove tool ) put valve cover back on & fire it up . GOOD LUCK!!! hope this helps you out .

When I turn on my tv all that comes on is three 6"blue lines no picture is my tv toast

If these lines are at least 2 inches wide then the problem is the display driver boards or some call them the Buffers boards, if the lines are less then 2in in wide and are very thin lines then the PDP is bad (Screen).

Panasonic SC-PT460 - Little black box covers half of screen

Can you describe the 'box'? Is it the top half, bottom half, a little of either? What kind of TV do you have?

I suspect you might be noticing the aspect ratio of the various source programs being presented differently on a wide screen than you are used to. DVD programs come in a variety of aspect ratios. Normal TV is 4x3, that is, 4 units wide versus 3 units tall. Wide screens are more like 16x9, so a 4x3 image presented properly on a wide sceen would have black vertical bars on both sides. That is normal.

Some people are offended by the black bars and TV's are unfortunately designed to allow gross modification of the image to fill the space. That is akin to taking a photo of yourself and stretching it to fit an improper frame. That probably wouldn't be very flattering to you and certainly wouldn't be accurate. Which is more important - the picture or the frame?
