YES people are really here. Can't answer every question. Try to answer as many as we can. It always helps to list your brand and model number, what's wrong or what you have tried, etc.

The igniter does not work on my SMEG gas stove

Hi it is probably the igniter pack under the controls depending on the model it could be a fairly large single pack with a pressure switch wired from each knob or individual switches. You will need to remove the panel and see where it is then test each one, don't touch it they really bite, if you need more help let me know. Ray

Spark module wont shut off once it has ignited. Do I need a new one

I would clean the electrodes on the burners really good, sometimes they seem not to sense heat from the burner and will not turn off the ignition system. Other times I fond bad grounds to the cooktop or outlet that can cause the same issue. The electrodes since heat from the burners to shut down the inanition system, also with out a good ground this system is impossible to work correctly.

I hope this helps

The flame on my Ikea DATID Hob is huge and has a lot of yellow flame. It makes my pots black, and is difficult to regulate because the flame is so big.

Hi, it really sounds like your cooktop is not set up for your type of gas. More than likely, it is set up for Natural gas and you are using Propane. You need to convert to LP using the kit. The only thing you have to change is the orifices.

Jenn-Air Cooktop replacement needed

You can get a new cooktop surface from Maytag/Jennair for $229. It is a pain however to replace it. Where is the crack in your cooktop and does that crack pass directly through a heating element? If not, then you may be able to repair it. I broke the corner off mine, and then dropped the piece (now 5 pieces). I was able to bond them back together and you really can't tell it was ever broken. But, it takes some work.

Jennair electic cook top

Buy whatever kind you prefer. On an open coil unit it really does not make much difference. On a smooth top, Make sure it has a flat bottom, preferably dark, not shiny. On white smooth tops avoid aluminum as it leaves grey marks.
