Question about Texas Instruments TI-86 Calculator
Horizontal lines on bottom of screen. Now the screen won't turn on. I replaced the batteries- still nothing. What could I do?
Try pressing (lightly) on the bottom border below the screen. If there is no change, try the top. If there is still no change, the power for your LCD may have become disconnected or shorted. There are external displays for these calculators intended for overhead projectors. If your school has one, you could try hooking it up to make sure the calculator itself still works.
In either case, it would be better to purchase a new calculator.
