First, place do not consider using refilled toner cartridges or third party toner cartridges.

They cause almost the same type of failures as ink cartridges.

I would simply start by calling a Office Depot, the shore where you purchased the Pinter or as a last ditch, contact HP. You can go to HP's web site and check under the Supplies and options and check under your model type.

The L7780 is an inkjet machine that doesn't use toner, have you given the correct model number for your machine?

After replacing cyan, magenta and yellow toners with genuine Canon toners, my Canon MFC 8180c does only use yellow color to print while trying to print or copy color stuff.

You will need to do an ink reset because from what you have explained the machine has only recognised one of the coloured inks and the black.

1. Switch on the machine and set it up for removal of all the ink cartridges . Then fully remove each of them (including the black) and then replace them back in the correct slots. Make sure they are fully home when you fit them. The machine now thinks you have removed used cartridges and replaced them with new ones.

2. Then close the printer and follow the instructions on the display window on the printer to indicate to the machine that you have replaced each ink tank with a new one.. It will ask in order if you have replaced each of the ink tanks from black onwards and the answer has to be yes. Make sure you hit the correct buttons when responding because if you do not the printer will not recognise the presence of that particular ink cartridge (and will not use it) which I believe is part of the problem you have now.. Check your user manual to make sure you are pressing the all the correct keys for your model machine.

Hope this helps some.

How to change laser printhead

Laser printers do not use a printhead.
When the toner runs out you need to get a new toner cartridge which includes the print drum.
You lift up the cover to reveal the toner cartridge, grab the cartridge and pull it out towards the front of the printer.
Reverse this procedure to insert the new toner cartridge.

I have a universal color inkjet refill kit need to know to apply to my laserjet 4000 toner cartridge C4127X

Short answer: you cannot use any INKJET refill kit for a Laser Printer!

Laser Printers use TONER (e.g. powder) and not INK.

Hope it helps!

Dell 3100n keeps saying "Change Black Toner" even

Before installing a new toner, put a disposable towel over the ink toner exit, and shake your toner lightly back and forth and up and down. Make sure your toner cartridge is in the open position before replacing it in your printer.

If you are using a refillable ink cartridge, make sure you are resetting the cartridge using the method described by the refillable manufacturer.

If this does not answer your question please request more information before voting on my answer. I will try to find more information about your toner cartridge that will help you futher.

Fax machine Samsung Inkjet Fax SF-360. Ink was finished so ordered the correct ink cartridge and replaced it now on the screen it tells us to install ink cartridge. I have tried severeal times and i know...

If the Toner Low/Empty message does not automatically clear when a new cartridge is installed, use the following to clear the message manually:
1.Press MENU # 1 9 3 4. The machine should display TECH.
2.Press MENU, and ENTER. The machine should display TECH Mode.
3.Press the left arrow < once. The machine will show NEW CARTRIDGE.
4.Press ENTER, the machine will show YES.
5.Press ENTER, there should not be any Toner Low/Empty message.
6.Exit TECH MODE, press MENU # 1 9 3 4. The machine will no longer display TECH.
If Toner Low/Empty message continues, there may be a problem with the toner cartridge or the machine.

Screen says drum near end

Drum for Brother MFC-6800 All in One Machine
You can expect it to print 12,000 Page Yield
Whats the difference between a DRUM and a TONER Cartridge? The toner cartridge is a cartridge holding the toner (ink). The drum does the work to transfer the ink to the paper. You will need to replace the drum every 5-6 toner cartridges you use.

Toner dust

It really sounds like a defective cartridge. There is a metering blade in there that puts the right amount of ink onthe roller, if its not right it will just throw it into the machine.
You need to vacuum the machine out, return the cartridge for a new one.
